On principle I dislike hazelnut 'coffee' because I've had chicory and it's better, still not coffee, though.
This is really smooth, tho.

Coffee and Its Substitutes: What’s Better for Your Body?
Many of us start the day with a warm cup of coffee. The bold flavor awakens our senses, and the caffeine provides an energy boost. However, coffee can come with unwanted side effects like disrupted sleep and increased anxiety, leaving you feeling worse. Coffee substitutes present a healthier alternative, offering the rich experience of coffee without the negative effects. So, what’s truly better for your body—decaf coffee or coffee substitutes? Why Consider Coffee Substitutes Over Decaf? Caffeine is the driving force behind coffee's appeal, but it’s also the source of many problems. Even decaffeinated coffee contains trace amounts of caffeine, which may still affect those sensitive to it. Plus, decaf coffee often undergoes chemical processes that can raise concerns about long-term health effects. Coffee substitutes, on the other hand, deliver the comforting taste of coffee without any caffeine, allowing you to avoid jitters, anxiety, and sleep disturbances entirely. If you're seeking a caffeine-free alternative, coffee substitutes are a healthier choice than decaf coffee. Click here to learn more about these benefits. Health-Boosting Ingredients in Coffee Substitutes Many coffee substitutes are made from plants known for their healing properties. Dandelion root, for example, provides an earthy flavor while promoting gut health. It’s rich in fiber and antioxidants that support digestion and overall wellness. Chicory root, another popular ingredient, mimics the taste of coffee without caffeine and helps balance blood sugar levels. These ingredients not only offer a coffee-like experience but also contribute to your overall health. In contrast, decaf coffee lacks the additional benefits found in these natural ingredients. Sustainability of Coffee Substitutes vs. Traditional Coffee In addition to health benefits, many coffee substitutes have a much smaller environmental footprint than traditional coffee. Ingredients like roasted roots and grains use significantly less water and fewer resources during production, making them an eco-friendly choice. By choosing a coffee substitute, you’re not only supporting your body but also making a more sustainable decision for the planet. Conclusion: Coffee Substitutes Offer the Best of Both Worlds Ultimately, whether you stick with decaf coffee or switch to coffee substitutes, the key is choosing what feels best for your body. For many, coffee substitutes provide the perfect balance—taste, comfort, and health benefits without the downsides of caffeine or chemicals. Visit here to know more. Herbal Coffee#2: Persimmon seed
For this drink recipe you are going to need these items:
1 C. Persimmon seeds
4 Pint jars
water
(1) Preheat the oven to 325°F. Collect the seeds from your recent harvesting foray under the persimmon trees. Wash the remaining pulp off the seeds and roast them on a baking sheet until they are very dark brown. Crack a seed to be sure it's roasted all the way through. Allow the seeds to cool completely.
(2)At this point, you can transfer them whole to an airtight glass jar, or grind them and store the grounds in a jar. Cap, label, and store the jar in the pantry. When you're ready to make the "coffee", grind the seeds in a cofee grinder if they're still whole and preare as you would normal coffee: Use 1-2 tabkespoons of grounds per6 ounces of water.
