I know. I KNOW. It's perhaps the worst cliffhanger in literary history. And the last chapters contains SO MUCH. It's hard to digest. But how freaking BRILLIANT was Aelin's plan? She forever leaves me in awe with her cunning and strategy.

I'd say Urban Decay. Just to emphasize the level of “you’ve f**ked up.” And in all honesty, I’m not mad that she or anyone else took a day off - that’s not my issue. It’s that they all did it at the same time, and (being the only one that knew all of the plans) she KNEW what would happen as a result.
Sending everyone to her voicemail is basically setting her desk on fire. So... I’ve got that covered. :)

You said it. So we have a team of four people. One of them is a recruiter - she left at noon for an event and won’t be back until Friday. Then there’s Michelle, who requested the afternoon off because she is taking care of her nephew. Then there’s team lead herself who conveniently had a family emergency pop up and had to leave at 2:30.
And then there’s me. Still here. Still looking at them as they all walk away - everyone but team lead is surprised. And I was just pretending to be professional until those elevator doors closed.
But... yeah. She knew everyone wanted the afternoon off for various reasons and didn’t tell anyone that they would be leaving one person to deal with it all.
It’s okay. I’m not mad. I’m just vindictive. :)
