Meet Yolima Taborda Rojas (@paisacoffeellc), a Colombian 🇨🇴 coffee importer, whose whole journey began the moment she was born on a coffee farm. Literally! After Yolima left Colombia to work in the United States 🇺🇸, she found herself surrounded by more coffee than she ever had before. She said, “I noticed how much coffee…people consumed here, way more than what I was used to in Colombia, and also how much people were willing to pay for a cup of coffee. I mean, I paid six dollars for a cup of coffee once and when I translated that to pesos I was blown away…I thought that maybe there was an opportunity to start a coffee business here and bring my family's coffee to the U.S.” This realization set her job and dreams into motion. With her business beginning to grow, Yolima is advocating for better conditions and transparency within the coffee industry. So sit back, grab your cup of coffee, and read about how one woman is already changing the coffee industry, starting within her own business.
