i don’t know much about ps3, but your files should still be on its harddrive. and then if you do need a new system you could always plug in the old harddrive and still have your files. right?
The thing is, this is a really old, like one of the first models PS3.
And I'm honestly not sure if my harddrive would even go into a new one let alone be compatible with it after having years of technological advances between them =|
I would experiment with mine at home but lol then if something went wrong I'd lose my sister's data too and then I'd have some real problems.
In the meantime I'm very apprehensive about opening this thing up, the guy doing the video said it's a simple process if you're familiar with computers but I just have no idea.
And he really opened it up, like the whole PS3 is now scattered everywhere.
I would lose things or my puppy would eat screws I know it.
