I’ve been on both sides of the spectrum of how I feel about Cullen. I actively disliked him before Inquisition. When he grew on me in Inquisition and I started engaging with other Cullen fans I was shocked at how KIND and generous a lot of them are. There’s such an idea in the anti Cullen circles that his fans blindly excuse his flaws because he’s handsome, and now I know that’s not true because a) I love him and I don’t blindly accept his flaws and b) I’ve never found the mythical Cullen fan  Who supposedly does this

So have I. I hated him before I romanced him and he grew on me too - but I’ve never blindly excused anything wrt him. So when I first got into him I also thought what you did, that everyone was going to be like that but a lot of his fans that I’ve interacted with have their own fix-its and longfics because wow! Cullen fans have critical thinking skills, who knew.

I’m sure there’s a couple of blind fans, but that’s pretty much a guarantee to anything and anyone who has fans. And I wasn’t around when DAI first dropped so I could totally see how some overzealous fans gave the whole group a rep

But it’s not fair to lump everyone in - because I have seen more of the positive and nice fans over the blind ones

My friends in fandom now are Cullen fans and they’re super nice people and I’m glad I met them.

I actually used to be a big fan of hers but uh yeah those days are gone. At this point any character that smack talks Sebastian is dead to me :p

I even headcanon that, post-game, her relationship with Judy sours, while Judy is able to better mean things with Merrill and Isabela, who were “rivals” during the game.

i like the idea of danse and maccready’s animosity settling as days go by and becoming less vitriolic toward one another esp if they share a partner? i def think it could work esp if it takes time post-canon to prosper

i love danse and mac together just them so bad and it’s canon to my canon and i blame my dear friend bloo for that one even tho that, for once, is a ship she had no actual hand in making me ship

7th Sea's Vast, Favorable Diversity means the world to me. I can't even tell you guys what it means to not even have to hesitate when players or GM Character concepts can be of different races, genders, and sexualities and there's never any sort of hesitation of "Does it fit in the canon? What would be the in-universe reaction?" The only question is "Are you a Hero?" and as long as my players can say "Yes", they fit along great. I'm pretty sure I just heard one of the official songs refer included brave sailors of the high seas referencing their husbands and wives, and knowing that many of the men would have husbands and the women would have wives was such a great, great moment. 7th Sea, you guys. This is it. This is the deal.

She waited in the car for the entire time it took for my friend to get there, and then drove her car behind me and said “you don’t even call your mother. Go ahead an ignore me.” My friend and I just put our groceries away and got in the car. I was wearing a super cute green top with a pair of skinny jeans. So she got to see me looking really cute and feminine.

My friend (who is a trans woman whom I consider my adoptive mother) assured me that I am an adult and that I am under no obligation to do what my biological mother says.
