This is a little late but Happy Birthday Rilia, @septic-dr-schneep. Hope you had a wonderful one! And this is for you!
Summary: Henrik finally musters the courage to ask the Psychologist Dr. Rilia Septic out on a date. Now, the only thing he needs to figure out is whether to go to a Coffee Cafe or a Tea House for the date.
This shouldn’t be so hard! He’s done this before! All he had to do was to go up to Rilia and ask her out! If she said yes, then very good! If she said no, then at least he knew where they both stood. It was as simple as that! Oh, if only it was that easy. Henrik tried several times to ask Rilia out on a date, and all those times he either backed out at the last minute or, something actually came up. But not this time! Oh, no! Henrik was going to go into work today and ask Rilia out on a date!
At least that was the plan. Unfortunately, Henrik had a massive workload! An explosion in the Kitchen of one the most popular restaurants in the city that several people frequent too. Henrik had to work fast, and because he was one of the most qualified doctors, he was in our surgeries and ICU. When Henrik was confident that the patients would make a full recovery, did he finally let himself to breath and relax a bit. He needed a break and began to walk to the Break Room. Chase made everyone lunch today, nothing fancy just some nice sandwiches and mix salads. Which was nice for a change that neither he nor Jackie needed to cook or make lunch for everyone.
Henrik made his way into Break Room and began brewing a pot of coffee, while he dug his lunch outta the frig. When the coffee was done, he poured it into his mug and began to make it the way that he liked it. It was when he was half done, that the one person that he was trying to ask out, walked into the Break Room as well. Henrik took this moment, to silently admire Rilia. He couldn’t help but smile a bit. Rilia always had a way to brighten things up, even if it’s just for a minute. Henrik quickly looked away, thinking that he might have been staring a little to long. That would be embarrassing if someone thought he was staring!
“Hey, Henrik!” Rilia greeted when she came over after warming her meal up. “How are you doing? I heard that it had been interesting, morning.”
“You could say that. Someone didn't do their job right and it resulted in one of the stoves exploding!” Henrik sighed.
“Oh, my god!”
“Yes, and what’s worse was that it was one of the most popular restaurants too. One of the ones that a lot of people in the city frequent.”
“Do you think it might have been sabatash, or someone just trying to get the insurance money from faulty equipment?” Rilia asked. Normally, she wouldn’t be asking something like this, but with it happening to one of the most popular restaurants and seeing how many employees were admitted.
“I don’t know. Jackie’s on the case, so we’ll be finding out soon enough!” Henrik assured her.
“You know Jackieboy Man?!” Rilia inquired impressed that Henrik knew Septic City’s Superhero.
“Not, personally, no. Mostly, because we both worked cases that go with one another. And I did save his life a few times.” Henrik lied. He couldn’t really tell Rilia that he actually lived with Jackie. Nor could he tell her that he actually knew him, personally.
“Oh, wow! He must have high trust in you then!” Rilia complimented.
“He does,” Henrik agreed. “Um Rilia? Would you - would like to go out with me? Say maybe this weekend?”
“Sure! I love too! I’m free for dinner,” Rilia told Henrik. “How does six, sound?”
“Six sounds good,” Henrik said. “Um, Coffee or Tea?”
“I’ll let you choice. I drink either.” Rilia smiled. Then she looked at the clock. “Oh shoot! I’m late for my next appointment!”
Henrik saw Rilia sucerying out of the Break Room but couldn’t help but smile the whole time. He had a date, with Rilia! Now, the question was, as Henrik pulled out his phone to start looking for different restaurants to go to. What places serve both coffee and tea?
