I think Rickard is supposed to look unreasonable to readers. His sons weren't some random squires, the both were adult men and more than that, they were Robb's bodyguards. Risk of being killed in the battle is literally part of their job. 1/2

2/2Adding that every time we see the Karstarks other than Alys, they act like dumb assholes (including said killed sons), and that Rickard will do many stupid and bad things till his very end, yes, I think we are meant to find that Rickard's behaviour is over the top. Basically, imho, Karstarks are northern Brakens — they are here to be annoying.

Dany's thoughts on Drogo imho reflect her upbringing and expectations of marriage from Viserys. She believed she would marry her abusive brother, he would be cruel and love wouldn't factor in it. Drogo's behavior is what marriage meets her expectations and when it improves, to her it's love.

I think it’s probably the only person that she knows that kinda fits the prophecy? And could realistically be a leader in that sense? I don’t know, in the show I always thought she was just too damn sure of her instinct and didn’t consider she might be wrong until she clearly was (but I mean the show is no real testament to the Azor Ahai prophecy so meh)

Anyway, I’m not sure I think it’s Dany, because that passage was so perfectly hinting towards her that it makes me suspicious.. Like, george wrote it knowing that we would connect those dots based on the info we have (like bringing dragons to life from stone... born from smoke and salt.. mel even mentions Dragonstone which is where dany was born..)... I don’t know, I don’t trust it... It sounds too obvious almost? That’s just based on that little bit though... There might me other clues later on that hint to completely different directions so it could still be Dany..  as I understand most people think it’s Jon so clearly there’s room for george to still pull a twist... Not to mention we will probably never know anyway lol

Or maybe, just maybe, the big subversion isn't that Dany is a villain, but that she is the prophesied hero but everybody dismissed her because she was a girl. There are indeed differences in translations of the prophecy, but they manifest in different versions of the prophecy by different cultures, not that Azor Ahai reborn must be a villain.

Ok I was about to say I was pretty damn sure that didn’t happen cause every time a grown man comes near Sansa my brain automatically scans the scene for inappropriateness, I think I would remember... Well then this is def interesting 🤔considering she is in a transitional moment physically and emotionally, not to mention the whole experience was traumatic anyway because of the war, the abuse she has endured, and the fact that sandor was pretty menacing in that scene...
