Day 1 of the Soylent 2.0 Diet

Basically, I’m dying.

So I’ve had this idea for a while, and once I found out that doing this won’t actually kill me, I went ahead and jumped on the Soylent bandwagon. 

Okay, before you judge me and spew facts, just. Don’t do that. I actually have little to no rebuttal, but I can’t take criticism well :(

But Dan, why are you doing this to yourself? Proper diet and exercise is the easiest and most sure way to lose weight!

Yeah, well... I’ve struggled to do that for the past 20 years; I can’t see myself changing that much now.

But Dan, all you’ll lose is water weight. As soon as you finish the diet, you’ll gain it all back!

I just said not to tell me facts. Stop it. But seriously, I’ll try to be more careful with what I eat and do to try to keep the weight loss.

So, this morning, I had Coffiest, a coffee version of Soylent. It tastes like those old diet shakes like Slimfast. The best way to describe the taste is like... If you took old ass protein shake and expired soy milk and blended it together... Then left it in your car to ferment in the hot July sky... Then let it cool in your chillbox to drink. Seriously, it tastes like old protein powdery milk that’s way too thick to chug down in one sitting. 

It’s currently 5:37 PM and I’m preparing to go to a club meeting, but I’m freaking starving. It’s only been 21 hours since my last meal, but I’m already having hunger pains. Oh Lord.

I have done a 7-day water fast before, but this seems somewhat harder due to the fact that I’m actually drinking some sustenance, so it’s not like I’m completely starved.

Well, I’ll pack Soylent bottle with me, and we’ll see how the meeting goes. Overall, not too bad, but at the same time, the worst thing ever.
