warhammer is a hilarious fandom to try and recommend people to get into because so many of our books are out of print, half of our games suck or are just mid, the miniatures are expensive, the fans can be absolutely horrendous if you meet the “wrong” ones, so much of our content is paywalled, and even playing the actual tabletop game is frustrating.
BUT GOD. WHEN IT HITS, IT HITS!!
hi, here's a full almost five hour video of all the banter in rogue trader, including dlc characters like kibellah and solomorne.

started hysterically sobbing at the preface of the mechanicus 2 artbook omfg
As a lifelong Warhammer 40,000 fan, it feels both trite and necessary to speak to the extraordinary nature of its universe. Writ large across an ever-growing tapestry of places, people and events, it is science fiction, gothic horror and Greek tragedy combined at an unimaginable scale, the culmination of decades of creativity and curation. Relentless war, dystopian regimes, cosmic terror, religious zealotry, baroque imagery, grotesquerie, and mythic history combine to create something both spectacular and utterly unlike anything else in fiction. To have the opportunity to add to this grand tapestry, weaving in and out of the existing imagery in a way that feels true to the whole, is a privilege... but also an arduous responsibility. What you see on the following pages is a testament not only to the immense talent, skill and experience of those involved in their creation, but also to their dedication and resilience. All of these pieces evolved through careful review and collaboration, ensuring that each design felt true not only to the artists' intentions, but to the wider universe they belong to. The result is art that is shaped as much by persistence as creativity. At a time when human endeavour is becoming increasingly threatened, however, it exactly this kind of work behind the work - the challenges, the setbacks and the determination to continue - that feels more meaningful than ever. Looking through these art pieces now, distanced from the often complex and demanding circumstances of their creation, I find myself struck by how remarkable they are. I have nothing but admiration for the artists who brought them to life, as I do for everyone involved in this project who, like the iconic cog of the Adeptus Mechanicus, never stopped turning despite all resistance. In doing so, they ensured that the cogs around them, and the whole machine, kept moving until the very end. I hope you enjoy marvelling at these pieces - and the human hearts, minds and hands behind them - as much as I do. Tony Cross A Proud Cog
