i just think that: sokka falls asleep on the bed in the middle of the day for whatever reason. like, totally conked out. and eventually zuko wanders by the room and sees him, and zuko, sap that he is, smiles and goes all soft and then decides that he’s gonna cuddle sokka to wake him up
so he crawls into the bed and tucks his arms around sokka and thinks “oh this is so nice, he’s gonna be so pleasantly surprised when he wakes up and he’s being cuddled”
BUT ZUKOS WRONG because *he* falls asleep and suddenly he’s waking up with the room all golden from the sunset streaming through the window and it’s been five hours and he has sokka’s hair in his mouth and-
sokka is still asleep
zuko sighs and takes the hair out of his mouth and then buries his face back into sokka‘s neck and then falls back asleep <3
