SO. Man, I looove grimsley i gently shake her she is like cocomellon to me.

What makes this particular pairing so interesting to me is how very similar they are in a lot of ways despite seeming very different on the surface. I mean there's the most obvious in that they are both adept battlers that have a soft spot for a pokemon type that tends t get a bad reputation. But as we start delving below the surface we start to get into things like not showing their true feelings and thoughts to most people, having trouble telling platonic from romantic, having issues with mental illness and histories of (and current) addictions that affect them deeply.

Although they have only interacted a few times at the moment really think there is a potential between them for some veeeery interesting dynamics.

On one hand we have the potential of an understanding of what each other deal with in a way that's hard to find in people who haven't felt things in a similar way and if they were to get to a point of talking about things i think they could be close!! They also just seem to have personalities that generally mesh pretty well and I think they would get along on a lot of different levels.

On the other hand though they also have the potential to absolutely enable each other in some really destructive ways, both with their respective addictions and with some veeery questionable decision making and morality.

Interestingly i think that while a romantic slant to the relationship would be possible, i don't think it would affect the development of the relationship in a real way for most of these things, at least unless they eventually actually realize these things since they both have that grayness to those feelings and lets be real they've already slept together so the idea of platonic isn't going to keep them from acting on whatever they end up wanting to do.

In conclusion: These bitches need to interact more im begging they are so interesting

//Canon/Platonic: Casi started over very mistrustful of Grimsley given his reputation, but beyond that she didnt want Ingo getting scammed (again) by some grifter she didn't take him all that seriously. Dunked on him for the hell of it a lot of the time

//The thing is she didn't really have any tangible reason to dislike Grimsley. So when he was just sorta. around all the time. Eventually he got used to the fact that Grimsley is part of her life now. They get along fine now that she isn't weird about it anymore. The fact that technically Grimsley clicked better with Roku is still probably one of the more interesting things about them at the start.

//They both have a strong affection for dark types and while they haven't opened up to each other much yet I think there are certain things they could relate to in terms of just. Mental illness and weird family stuff and expectations. Their circumstances are far from the same, but theres some overlapping concepts there if they ever took the time to look. She really enjoys the banter they have together and ended up surprisingly comforted by knowing Grimsley is there a lot of the time, or that this is the place where he's most likely to come back to.

//Non-Canon Romantic: I think they would end up being weird about it. I don't think either of them know any other way to go about it . It would still be a fair bit of the sort of doing nice things for each other and bantering about it thing they do. Specifically thinking of things like when Grimsley went to bring Casi breakfast and totally didnt laugh about her messy bedhead. Stuff adjacent to that. Casi wanting to pick out furniture and decorations for Grimsley's attic room setup even if its basically just a place for him to crash during the day. This gradual blending of Grimsley into his life that he doesn't even think about it, it just sort of happens while he isn't paying much attention. Not that he minds. He doesn't mind at all.
