The world moved in quick, short bursts the moment rough, cool hands cupped at his cheeks. His words were caught in the back of his throat, trapped, only to be replaced by a soft gasp that escaped his lips. Tord hadn’t allowed Edd to properly react, to properly speak—- think—- as Tord tugged him down to his level and chapped lips made contact with Edd’s. It was gentle, how his dried lips brushed against slightly damp ones, the taste of colalingering on the surface of his lips. Tord’s touch was soft, much softer than his usualbehavior ( had he always been this way ? ); the kiss subtle and slightlyapprehensive, uncertain of what one’s reaction might be. Short lived. Not if he could help it. Edd found himself leaning in a bit more, nose brush against Tord’s as it tilted towards the side, hoping the kiss would linger a bit longer. Their faces radiated heat, Edd’s own from the blush that dusted his cheeks in a delicate pink hue. It was warm, welcoming— Nice.
When Edd pulled back, his face hovered a few inches away from Tord’s. Lashes flutteredopen, revealing the vibrant hues of Edd’s, warm and soft like hot coffee in the morning. Fingers curled around the fabrics of Tord’s crimson sleeves as he kept his hunched position. A smile tugged at his lips, ached by how harsh it was, happiness flooding his body; heartthumped rapidly against his chest in such speed it would burst any moment. He didn’t budge, wishing to paint Tord, this moment, into his memory like a completed masterpiece.
Retreating back, never had the Norwegian planned for Edd to follow. Lips still together, firmer— closer this time as his nose lightly touched his. Heat was felt spread across his face like a flare, heart throbbing, twisting with embarrassment and, maybe a tad, excitement. His hands wavered before their grips renewed, thumbs brushing over his soft cheeks in the short moment. He found himself coming back towards Edd, lips hastily pressing back once more, when he pulled away.
A dreaded moment, for more than just one reason. He wasn’t far, and T.ord’s own eyes lingered down, inevitably, at his mouth. ( No complaints. ) It was more when his eyes flickered up to meet the earthy tones of the taller male did he feel shaken again. Of course he’d shamelessly be watching him— for god knows why. His blush was possibly as red as the one that itched across his own. Which was comforting, endearing— cute. Yet, mind subconscious of a smile that had slithered onto his own features, his lips tugged into a frown before his eyes glazed to the side. While a hand fell to his shoulder, he covered his forehead with the back of the other as if there was an itch right where it would cover his face from the other. It seemed he was full of terrible impulses he couldn’t really excuse himself from. The lump in his throat was only agitated by the vivid recollection of Edd kissing back— extending it. A cough soon dislodged it for the time being as he finally spoke up.
“Ehh— No homo.” Fucking nailed it. He could finally give a sigh, releasing the tension in his body. He could crack a smile again now, but dear god— he’s not looking back at him. The last thing he needed was wanting to continue it or make it worse.
