I've been a long time fan of Top Shot. With five contestants left and only one episode before the season three finale the episode on Tuesday pulled out all the stops. After last week's fiasco where the angry guy got, well, angry, and left of his own accord and Mike came back I was excited to see how he performed. The first challenge, did not let me down. Strapped to a ferris wheel like contraption that spun the contestants upside down the players had to shoot targets in a circular formation in just about ten seconds. People pretty much either owned the challenge or totally bombed. Dustin and Chris did crazy and surprisingly well while Gary, Mike and that guy whose name I can never remember and I swear I haven't seen since this episode did abysmally. When deciding on who should go to the elimination challenge it was between Gary, Mike and other Guy as Dustin and Chris received immunity for their awesomeness. Mike, as the only person who literally hit no targets, volunteered for the bottom and other Guy, to his dismay, was also voted in. The elimination challenge was cool. The players were seated and the chair flew across a field filled with balloon targets and random debris to block their view. Other Guy went first and did pretty well, but Mike came through strong afterwards and owned the course, hitting every target. Not to my surprise, the guy I hadn't seen for more than ten seconds the entire season except for this episode went home. Next week is the season finale and I'm thrilled to see how it plays out. The top four is rounded out with excellent shooters and I'm sure the challenges will be even more insane than before. Top Shot is on the History channel at 9pm, Tuesdays.
