"How is he doing?" Gwaine asked worriedly as he and Percival came toward the cot, warming themselves by the fire.
"It's getting worse," Merlin admitted quietly, noting Lancelot's still shaking figure, wrapped in heavy blankets and still unable to get warm.
Gaius came over with another cup of mulled wine. "See if you can wake him up to drink some of this," he said.
Merlin crouched by the cot, shaking Lancelot's shoulder firmly.
The knight let out a soft moan and stirred, teeth still clacking. His eyes fluttered but he didn't quite wake up.
"Lancelot, come on, I have something warm for you to drink," Merlin coaxed.
"Here," Percival said, swiftly shucking his belt and mail shirt and going over to the cot. He shifted Lancelot's upper body so that he could sit, propping the other knight up against his chest. "Come on, Lancelot, try to drink some of this at least."
The knight shook uncontrollably against Percival, but when the big knight pressed the cup to his lips, Lancelot did manage to drink a little of it, even if he didn't seem able to wake fully anymore. Merlin wondered worriedly if it had been a bad idea to let him fall asleep in the first place.
"He's so cold," Percival murmured as he set the cup aside and began to rub his hands up and down Lancelot's arms, trying to urge his body to warm up. "I don't think I've ever felt anyone this cold before."
