Just remember at this time of year as you spend time with family & friends that not everyone will be having a happy, safe or warm Christmas. I was homeless over Christmas many years ago and I can assure you that a freezing cold pavement is not a wonderful Christmas gift. Please spare a thought for those less fortunate than yourself and remember homelessness can happen to anyone. I'm not religious but the message of Christmas is a very simple one and the festival is suppose...d to be based around religion, NOT shopping, greed and excess. So take a least one small moment to think of others. Think who they may be missing. Have a very Happy Christmas. Share this post and create some festive thoughtfulness & love.

Cold Pavement || Ashley & Hobbes

"What? Your stutter?" Ashley asked, slightly surprised by Hobbes' sudden cry. "Yeah, sure, I hear it," he admitted simply. He had honestly not thought much of Hobbes' stutter. He had merely noticed it, and then moved on. Ashley didn't tend to pay much attention to things like that, not in Hobbes, not in anyone. "And sure, it's different," he continued, "But it doesn't make you broken.”

Esmeralda was the only friend Ashley had with whom he was close enough to ever share personal things, and they both tended to keep to themselves whenever they were upset, so he didn't have much experience with dealing with upset people, except for at work. People had often scolded him for being too "harsh", and although he didn't want to be harsh or unkind at all, Ashley always tried to stay realistic and honest. What was the point of telling someone they would be able to walk again by the morning, if the truth was that they would never walk again?
