“ calma, just a second. ” she told the other nonchalantly, focused on the words in her computer as she finished typing up the last paragraph. taking a large gulp of the black coffee that stood beside her, she turned her attention to the person who’d been talking to her. “ i’m sorry, what did you want ? ”
Katya narrowed her eyes at her phone screen. She’d been getting calls from long-distance numbers, which her friends had told her to ignore, but upon closer inspection, she realized it was an Icelandic number. Hesitantly, she picked up. The voice on the other end (the other side of the Atlantic) was seriously asking her about her insurance right now.
“Hvernig fékkstu símanúmerið mitt? Ég bý ekki einu sinni á Íslandi lengur,” she said, before hanging up.
“Sorry,” she said then, in English, to the person whose hair she was styling. “That probably sounded like Klingon to you.”
yooooo everyone this is your local trash king reporting for duty. lazy to a fault and late as always! i’m bas and this is my trash son aaden he genuinely ?? just wants the best for everyone. what a good guy honestly wow. #aadenforpresident2020. i’m super excited to be here and get to know everyone !!
so aaden is twenty three years old and has lived in coldbrook all his life w his twin sister amalia ( he’s the older twin by half an hour jsyk and he will ALWAYS remind everyone of that ) !!
they weren’t really that close as kids just because ?? sibling rivalries and a lack of stuff to bond over but he would fr die for her now.
like don’t even think about badmouthing her in front of him ??? talk shit get hit. ( except not like legit hit probably just given a stern look and a frown bc violence isn’t really his style tbqh. )
he takes after his parents a lot !!! not only is he a writer like his parents but he’s super ambitious and super clear on those ambitions and what he believes. like fr don’t even try to sway him because ?? you will lose. you will lose hard.
has lived a pretty sheltered life in that he’s never actually had the thought to leave coldbrook ?? like he has some unfinished business in proving the existence of things that go bump in the night and generally following in his family’s footsteps as a writer to make them proud ??? he works at the local newspaper and it’s his actual lifeblood. he gives his heart and soul to his job.
amalia and aaden’s childhood was kind of rocky because although they had parents who loved them, they also had parents who had no idea how to be parents. basically got married too young and had these super demanding jobs and suddenly there were these two demanding little babies in their laps. so they were left to their own devices a lot.
aaden is the most optimistic person you will ever meet. like he’s a genuinely good soul and he has taken everything bad or negative that has happened in his life and used it to make himself better. he’s an instrument of positivity basically.
very inquisitive ?? will always go around asking questions ?? literally has a notebook on him at all times ??
also the better twin. just saying.
so that’s all for now and it’s super basic but come plot w him ?? pls ??
“so the mayor is really going ahead with this.” clearly, she was not impressed with the mayor’s poor attempt to get back into the citizens good graces. of course, her pessimism didn’t help. “doesn’t he think he should be addressing that there are girls missing instead of holding dinners for the press?”
i’m going to throw out a starter call for an open starter with rachel! i will message you to plot out starters before posting. just like this thread and i’ll hit you up!
These days, Adelina only ever saw coffee shops before 6am and after 8pm. Not the busiest times, but she didn’t mind. Quiet was nice after working 12 hours straight with screaming babies. She was usually the only one ordering caffeine at night, but she needed something to keep her awake to see Carter.
There were stories of scary things happening in town after dark... but Carter was only two years old, and nothing scared her more than the thought of him calling the babysitter Mama. Working from 7am to 7pm she saw the moon more often than her son and missed him desperately. She was thinking of this and trying not to fall asleep in line for coffee when someone tapped her shoulder. She jumped.
“Oh! My goodness... I thought you might have been a werewolf,” she joked.
