The sheer stupidity & irony of this image is impressive, even for me!!! Having just struggled up hill for the passed 3 or so miles, with a heart rate around 170BPM for the most part, I got to a plateau & rewarded myself to a late brekkie/early lunch. Whilst tucking into my bread, butter & jam (albeit multiple flavoured jams) snack I was joined by two elderly ladies, locals who fortunately both spoke very good English. We had a lovely chat & they pointed out this very sign, saying you've made it to the highest point of the pass, it's all down hill towards the lake from here, I laughed & said "that's the best news I've heard ALL DAY!!!!" They chuckled, before getting up to catch their bus, sadly just before I was able to get a snap of the three of us. It didn't make for quite as good a photo, but figured I'd still get a snap with myself & my nephews toys - my mascots who have been with me since the start of the trip. I get my tripod out, set the camera, grab my nephews toys, only I don't!!!! On account of the fact I'd left them 3 miles down hill, back where I started my trip today!!! Got to laugh haven't you!!! Was genuinely weighing up whether or not I could, or should leave them behind?
