Saul's final words to Robin in the Wano flashback are the ones recorded by the late Cole Brown-a man only dies when he's forgotten

Cole Brown, who tragically passed away in 2016, was alot better known for voicing Blackbeard(and is half the reason Teach is my favorite anime character of all time) but he also provided the voice for Saul. However, when Robin had that extended-in-the-anime flashback to Ohara during her fight with Black Maria, Saul was by necessity recast, with Dr. Hiriluk's voice actor Mark Stoddard taking Mr. Brown's place. And it's not as though he didn't knock it outta the park, because he very much did. The mans' a pro and it's easy to hear. But something about the end of the flashback caught my ear, and so I listened to it back-to-back with the original anime version of Saul's death and realized something: his final words outside of his laugh were the same. The EXACT same. The cadence and inflection on each and every syllable was identical, and the sound went from "pretty close to the original but I can still tell that's Mark Stoddard" to "I can't hear him at all". I can't definitively prove this, but you can do the same thing to verify for yourself; in the Wano flashback to Ohara, it was still Cole Brown defiantly declaring "No matter who you are, ain't no one born into this world to be alone!"

By the time I started getting into One Piece it was 2018, and Mr. Brown had already passed. The very first time I heard his voice at the end of Enies Lobby, which I'd decided to watch primarily due to loving Kokoro no Chizu and Brand New World as openings, he was already gone. But he was still there for me and countless others, because we all know when a man truly dies. And now, all those who only started watching the anime at Wano will have the same be true for them. We're not forgetting Cole Brown any time soon.
