I don’t have much experience with electricians but was surprised when I contacted several and didn’t hear back from quite a few. I guess some electricians are too busy to respond.
BV Electric responded quickly and Boris came out to provide an estimate for an electrical panel upgrade right away. He’s got 30 years of experience under his belt and was featured in the Cole Hardware newsletter. He knows his stuff, including what’s up to code, and he’s a professional. He arrived on time and everything went as planned.
For the panel upgrade, he was able to provide a complete service including taking care of finding people to do the concrete work. Later PG&E came by and inspected the work. It was completely up to the current code.
The one thing that I didn’t like was how he’d ask me questions (e.g., Do you think your kitchen is up to code? Do you think the work in your garage is up to code?) when I had already mentioned that I don’t know anything about electrical work or codes.
