MUSE EASTER BASKETS
Mayson:
Mayson has a wooden basket with a pink floral liner. He still believes in the Easter Bunny. Hank tries to get things useful for the coming spring and summer seasons along with a few fun things. This year he got a pink unicorn plushie, bubble in a large pink bottle, silly putty, spray chalk in the color pink (which seems like a fun twist of chalk but Hank will soon regret it) and a rainbow slinky in the way of toys. For edible treats he got a few ring pops, a kinder joy egg, a plastic egg full of sour patch kids, some hello panda, a few rice krispy treats, a chocolate bunny that is choa choa pebbles flavored, jelly beans, and a peeps lollipop. Hank got the boys the most of candies and treats even though he tries not to. There is a good balance of toys and edible treats. There’s also clothing. He got two pairs of pink shorts in different shades, a new shirt that’s blue with daises on it (that’s long sleeved but is still light enough for the spring season). He also got a pair of sandals. The sandals are in fun bright colors (pink, blue and a yellowish gold. Along with some silver and white) He is ready for spring and summer with this outfit, Hank doesn’t use fake grass in the kids baskets. He’s seen it make messes before. He doesn’t do it anymore. But he does use plastic eggs for fun. Some go in the baskets and of course the bunny hides some as well. This year its all golden eggs! Here’s what it all looks like:
Cole:
Cole has a wooden basket with a blue liner with colorful bunnies on it. He is growing out of the belief in the Easter Bunny but still plays into it for Mayson. Hank will get the boys baskets even if they don’t believe. He’ll do it for their entire youth. Hank tries to get things useful for the coming spring and summer seasons along with a few fun things. For toys he got very similar things to Mayson. He got a large bottle of bubbles in a green bottle, a rainbow slinky, silly putty, a blue fuzzy dragon plush, and spray chalk in purple (and much like Mayson’s, this bottle will also be something Hank will regret.)
For edible treats he got a few ring pops, a kinder joy egg, a plastic egg full of sour patch kids, some hello panda, a few rice krispy treats, a chocolate bunny that is fruity pebbles flavored, jelly beans, and a peeps lollipop. Hank got the boys the most of candies and treats even though he tries not to. Especially for Cole who is diabetic. but also long as Cole enjoys in moderation, it’s all good. There is a good balance of toys and edible treats. Lastly there is the clothes. He got a t-shirt that is dark blue with a space theme, he also got two pairs of shorts in pink and black. And a pair of plain brown sandals. Cole isn’t into clothes as much as Mayson, his is more about function than fun or color. But the space shirt is for sute going to be something that he loves. Hank doesn’t use fake grass in the kids baskets. He’s seen it make messes before. He doesn’t do it anymore. But he does use plastic eggs for fun. Some go in the baskets and of course the bunny hides some as well. This year its all golden eggs! Here’s what it all looks like:
Lana:
Lana was told by Sarah, her current care giver (in the loosest sense of the word and only on paper) that the Easter bunny is not real (Along with things like Santa but oddly enough she was still told about the tooth fairy) However, she still gets an Easter basket from Sarah. She knows its from Sarah. Weirdly enough everything she says and does, Sarah does treat Lana to quiet a nice basket full of treats and a few other toys. Mostly it’s clothes which Sarah loves to buy clothes for Lana. Lana’s basket is rainbow themed with a white fabric base and rainbow handles. She got a blue peeps plush, hello kitty themed chalk, and a toy camera that blows bubbles (bubble solution includes wow! but sadly it needs batteries which were not included in the package and that Sarah didn’t buy). Most of the rest of the basket is clothes or candy. She got a cadbury egg, a few Reese’s eggs in both milk and white chocolate, a chocolate covered peeps, a kinder joy egg, marshmallow creme Reese’s, a Reese’s egg full of reese pieces, blue peep bunnies, a few packs of fruit snacks, some rice krispie treats, a few snack bags of cheez its, a small bag of pirate’s booty, and two chocolate bunnies one is white chocolate and the other is milk chocolate. That’s a lot. Sarah has no problem giving Lana junk. There there is also the clothes. She got a few different outfits. Everything she needs for the coming seasons. She got two t-shirts one is darker blue and the other is lighter blue both with flower designs. She got two shorts one in a light purple and one in a light blue. She got new slip on gray play shoes, brown sandals with a pink stripe, a 10 pack of new socks in various pink and white shades along with navy, two under shirts/tanks, and a 10 pack of new underwear. What Sarah doesn’t give Lana in care or affection she gives her in clothes. Hmm. There is also purple, blue, pink, and yellow plastic eggs that are filled with treats inside the basket. They aren’t hidden. No egg hunts in this house. This is what it all looks like:
Halloween Costumes
Mayson couldn't decide and Hank gave in and let him pick two. One for trick or treating and the other for school, parties, and all that. For trick or treating he is going to be a creepy porcelain doll with a wind up gear. He also has a skeleton costume he'll be wearing to school and various events the family is going to. His baby doll has a matching costume.
Hygiene and Grooming Items Cole and Mayson
Cole
His hair brush is simple and plain in color, solid black. His tooth brush is green with blue and yellowish green bristles. His has a blue loofah with some purple in it. He doesn’t really use it. His towel is white with a grayish blue stripe. He uses a shampoo for kids currently using L’Oreal Kids in an orange scent. Mouth wash is generally whatever Hank has recently bought. He is currently using Target brand kids mouth wash in a bubble gum flavor. His tooth paste is Crest Kids. His body wash is again just something Hank buys and he doesn’t have a preference in, neither does Hank. Currently it is a watermelon scent body wash for kids.
Mayson
While an android, Mayson still bathes and brushes his teeth. mostly he just likes baths and the taste of toothpaste. He shares a lot of things with Cole. He uses the same shampoo, toothpaste, body wash and mouth wash. He typically uses a very colorful towel but will also use whatever is in the clean liens cabinet. He has a loofah and actually uses it. His is pink and white. His toothbrush is pink and white with colorful bristles. His hair brush is blank with rainbow bristles. he likes the splash of colors. And he likes rainbows too!
Mayson and Cole back to school
Mayson and Cole go back to school on August 16th. They are going into 5th grade. give or take my blog operates on a very loose timeline outside of threads.
Outfits:
Mayson and Cole got all new outfits (including tops, bottoms, and shoes) for the first day of school. Hank let them both pick. Their school doesn’t have a very strict dress code/uniform so the kids had a large selection to pick from. Mayson went with a new pair of jeans, a pink t shirt, and pink shoes with shiny sides. He has new socks to wear with his shoes as well. He doesn’t always wear socks most of his slip on shoes don’t need them but these shoes are more comfortable with a sick and the ruffle on the matching colored socks. Cole choose a striped shirt, dark jeans and blue shoes with a galaxy on them. Cole loves space stuff. He has a new pack of socks as well but he liekly isn’t going to wear any on the first day. He likes to go barefooted in his shoes and can do that with slip ons like these. It might be too hot for the shirt he chose as it’s long sleeved but its light enough that it should be fine. Supplies:
The boys picked out their own supplies for the most part. Hank did pick some stuff up for them or talked them out of various items for reason such as price but the note books, lunchboxes, book bags and more all were picked by Mayson and Cole. Not all supplies are listed just ones of note that the boys picked and liked. They also had glue, pencil sharpers, folders, and erasers.
Mayson chose a pink book bag with a design on the pocket, a pink lined lunch box with clear sides, pink note books in various shades and styles and a binder, a shiny pink pencil case, a pink water bottle, pink scissors, pink headphones, and wasn’t too picky about the pencils. Just regular wooden pencils. Hank picked out a good brand. He didn’t care about the containers for his lunch box and Hank went with a purple box.
There were some more colorful options he wanted for some supplies but decided against it because he felt it was too childish. He hasn’t really out grown that type of stuff or cares about what others think but since Cole does he wants to follow suit. He has a water bottle and lunch supplies because he can eat even though he’s an android and he likes to be part of lunch breaks. Sometimes he’ll sip water and other times he’ll need Thirium. Cole went with his same book bag as years past. It was in good condition and he thinks it still looks cool. He likes space stuff, it matches his shoes and doesn’t look too babyish. He’s starting to care about stuff like that. His choose lunchbox matches his book bag and it’s new this year. His past lunch boxes didn’t wear well. Hank choose the containers that go inside. Just a simple green.
Cole picked a water bottle that went with the galaxy theme. He pick a blue notebook and a few other colors as well. He needed a binder and picked a green binder. He picked blue scissors that reminded him of a galaxy and a blue marble like pencil case to hold all his supplies in. He needed headphones for computer class and some other lessons and went with a blue pair.
He didn’t care about pencils either just like Mayson. So Hank just picked up a good brand of wooden pencils. While the boys don’t seem picky about their writing utensils he knows they would like normal ones over mechanical pencils. Plus they might play with a mechanical pencil instead of paying attention in class. Special Treat:
After school on the first day back to school Hank likes to take the kids to pick out a special treat. Typically just to a convenience store or grocery store, although he might treat them out to eat for a special dinner as well. These are just snacks the boys are picking out. But he lets them get whatever. Any size or thing....He says but he will limit it within reasons where possible. No large bags of pixie sticks or something like that. He wants to treat them not sugar them out. They still need to get into bed at a decent time tonight.
Mayson picked a extra large rice krispy treat with m&ms on it. And Cole picked a large pouch of fruit snacks. Not that bad. Could have been worse. Hank is happy with their selections and didn’t have to step in to try to persuade them to pick something.
He let the boys pick where they wanted to go for a special dinner. Any restaurant they want. The children being the fancy food connoisseurs they are picked McDonald’s. At least it was cheap and Hank can guarantee they’ll eat whatever they order unlike some other places. He isn’t complaining.
I’ve been making a lot of posts of collages with various grooming and hygiene items for my muses. So far it’s just the kiddo muses. Here is the list of each: Toddler Ava Cole & Mayson Kid Niles & Neilos Kid Connor & Carter Lana
