Sam and you were coming back from a rough hunt. You were sitting shotgun, slightly shivering from a fever due to the cold you were recovering.
-I’m cold, Sammy
-I know, baby. We are almost there — Sam said grabbing your hand and giving it a squeeze
You’d caught a cold a few days ago, you’ve been feeling feverish for the past day but unfortunately, you couldn’t stay at home resting. Sam needed you, Dean went with Cass to give a hand to Donna with a shapeshifter.
Sam was getting worried, he started to feel the warmth radiating from your body and you were covered with a fuzzy blanket. He wanted to get home as soon as possible. He removed his hand from yours and tried to touch your face, it was flushed and all sweaty
-Ow, baby, we are almost there, just hang on a little — he said speeding the car
When he parked the car in the bunker’s garage, he tried to wake you up
-Y/N, baby, wake up — he shook your shoulder
-Hmm? — you groaned
-We are home, let’s get you in bed — Sam said helping you out of the car
*Sam's POV*
Y/N was cranky, she didn’t look like herself. Her skin was pale, sweaty, and all clammy. She definitely had a fever and by the way her body was shivering, probably it was high.
Leaving our things in the trunk of the car, you helped her go to our shared room and set her on the bed and, you went to the bathroom to grab the medkit.
She could barely keep herself awake and seated straight, she had to lay on the headboard of the bed for support.
-Y/N, baby? — you called and get closer to her
She opened her eyes, but she was confused, and it seemed to be dizzy
-I have to take your temp — she nodded and she grabbed the thermometer and put it on her mouth
You took this time to go to the kitchen and grabbed a glass of water for her so she could take the pills and the cough syrup. You entered the room when the thermometer was beeping and Y/N was with her eyes closed. You took the thermometer from her and read the temp. It was 104ºF .
Silence, she didn’t say anything, probably she was asleep. You approached her and you were able to feel the heat radiating from her body, this wasn’t good.
-Baby, you need to change your clothes, you need to get into something more comfortable
She just groaned and didn’t move, so you went to the wardrobe to get one of your t-shirts, and then you went to get the medkit. You undressed her and put on her t-shirt. Dean came up to the room
-How is she? — He asked concerned
-Not good. She didn’t register I changed her clothes
-What do you want me to do? Did you take her temp?
-Yeah, It’s 104°F. Can you stay with her for a little? I’ll get the bath ready
-Sure — Dean said moving next to her
A few minutes later, you called Dean from the bathroom
-Can you bring her? The bath is ready
-I’m coming — Dean said carrying her bridal style
When Dean entered the bathroom, you were already in the bathtub.
-I’ll lay her on top of you, ok? — Dean said and you just nodded. You needed her to get better
-I’ll go to get some meds and call Cass for help — Dean said
-Thanks, man — Sam said
You prayed for her to get better, for her recovery, to get her fever down, to see her beautiful eyes and smile instead of that frown from the pain she was feeling. You were scared for her.
Sometime later, when the water was getting cold, he took both of you out of the tub. He laid you down on the bed, he went to get changed, and then changed you. He woke you up and gave you two tablets with some water. You weren’t getting any better and Cass was far away from home. You needed to fight this the normal way.
A day later, Dean came to your room with a sandwich for you and to check up on Y/N
-How is her fever?
-It’s 107°F. It went up in the past half hour
-I’m telling you, if the fever doesn’t get down, I’m taking her to the hospital. She hasn’t woke up in nearly two days — Dean scolded Sam
-I know. One more day, please — he begged and Dean didn’t say anything
The next day you were a little bit better, you were still running a fever but it wasn’t as high as it was the past few days. When you woke up, you felt tired, your body was sore, your throat hurt and you were dizzy
-Hey baby, you’re awake — Sam said — How are you feeling?
-Too tired, for being asleep for an entire day. What are we going to do today, baby? What day is today? Is it Sunday, right? — she asked
-No, it’s Tuesday.
-What? No, No! I sleep! Are you sure? — she sounded panicked
-Yes, honey, pretty sure. You’ve been really sick, that’s why you don’t remember
-Oh, well, it makes sense, right?
-We were really worried. Dean wanted to take you to the hospital because you had really high fever
-But Cass is here now — Dean said entering the room
Cass approached you and with a touch on your forehead, everything got better in an instant.
-Thank you Cass — Y/N said
-You’re very welcome Y/N. My apologizes for not being available sooner
-It’s okay Cass — You said grateful for the angel
*Y/N’s POV*
After being healed by Cass, Dean left the room with him
-Thank you for taking care of me baby — You said patting the empty side of the bed
-I was really scared, honey. I didn’t know what to do — Sam said
-You did what was the best, and you stayed with me no matter what, and I really appreciate it — You admitted kissing his cheek
You were really grateful for your family. They were always there with you and for you.
Warnings: fluff, Dean being a dad, marshmallows (yes, that’s a warning)

Summary: Dean and his kids enjoy a snow-day while you are away at work.
A/N: This is for @wonder-cole 100 follower challenge, I’m so proud of you mom!! This also is my free-space for my Christmas bingo.
After an hour of bundling Mary and John up in their snowsuits, Dean walks them out the front door, into the snow-covered yard. John takes off like a rocket from the porch steps as he starts gathering snow for a snowman.
“Daddy!! I wanna makes an angel!” Mary squeals as she tugs on Dean’s pant leg.
Swinging his youngest into his arms he walks down the porch steps carefully and walks further into the yard, laying down next to his giggling three-year-old, he shows Mary how to create a snow angel.
As she begins to move her arms and create art in the snow, her giggles fill the quiet neighborhood. “I dids it!” she jumps up, launching herself onto her father’s stomach.
With a grunt Dean, sits up wrapping his arms around the ball of energy in his lap.
“Dad! I got the snowman started!” John calls out from the side of the yard.
“Let’s go help bubba, Mary.” Hand and hand they walk to the small ball of snow as Dean explains to Mary what to do.
Dean’s face lights up as he watches his son and daughter roll the ball through the yard making it grow larger and larger. As they finish the base, they begin to work on the next layers. Dean steps inside, grabbing a carrot from the fridge, Oreo cookies, a scarf that belonged to you, and a baseball cap.
Stepping onto the porch Dean sets his items down and helps John lift the next to balls of snow onto the snowman. When they finish, Mary runs to the porch, stuffing her arms full with everything to give their snowman a personality.
“Frosty! Frosty!” Mary cheers as she runs over to her brother and father.
Dean chuckles, lifting Mary to push the oreo cookies into the eyes area and the carrot to create the nose. John stands on his toes, wrapping the scarf around the snowman’s neck. Dean lifts John up to place the baseball cap on his head.
Stepping back the family admires their work, noses, and cheeks red.
“Alrighty y’all, how about some hot cocoa before Momma gets home?”
“With whip cream and chocolate crumbles?!” John makes puppy dog eyes, just like his uncle as Dean nods.
Running inside the kids begin to shed their snowsuits and extra clothing. Dean helps Mary and then sets them on the couch in front of the fire, as he turns on Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.
Dean grabs a measuring bowl, adding milk to it and heating it in the microwave. He scoops out the cocoa mix into two mugs, setting the marshmallows on the counter.
“Hey, dad can we have some marshmallows to eat?” John asks kindly
“Sure bud, take a handful, and share with your sister, please.” John grabs the soft treats and runs back to the living room.
As the microwave beeps dean pours milk into each mug, mixing the drink with a spoon and adding the toppings. You were not going to be very happy when you arrived home, finding your kids both hopped up on sugar, but it was Christmas break and Dean figured he could get away with it.
As he picks up the two mugs of hot cocoa he hears the tiny shriek from his youngest and runs into the living room, to find John shoving marshmallows up Mary’s nose.
“John! Get off your sister!” Dean sets the mugs down pulling the children off on another as Mary’s lip wobbles, holding back tears.
“There’s a marshmallow in my nose” Mary cries as Dean lifts, her onto his lap. As he begins pulling marshmallows from her nose, he looks at his 7-year-old son sternly. “What do you think you were doing John?”
“She was trying to steal my marshmallows!” he defends crossing his arms with a huff.
“And do you think it was appropriate to shove marshmallows up your sister’s nose?” he questions
“No sir…” John mumbles, looking down.
“I want you to apologize to her and never do it again.”
‘I’m sorry sissy, I won’t ever do it again.”
“Now drink your hot chocolate before it’s cold.” Dean sits on the couch, helping Mary drink, as to not spill it.
The three sit together, cuddled up enjoying the movie as a family.
CONGRATS ON YOUR 100 WOOOOOOO I’m gonna break my joining more than 2 challenges at a time rule and ask for “No need to worry. I’m just weird.” as much prompt.
Thank you babe! I'll add you down. I can't wait to see what you come up with.
I am absolutely honored to have 100 people following me. Never before did I think I’d be writing fanfic. Hell, 20 years ago you couldn’t have told me that people would want to read what I was writing. (Yeah, I’m over 30. Get over it.)
ETA 2/9/21: I’m now at 200! Still beyond honored and flattered that I’m gaining more and more people reading my fics.
I should mark this with a challenge. But a challenge I have yet to see. The following prompts are actual things my kids have said. I have 2, one 4-year old daughter, and an 11 year old non-binary PITA. Most of these come from the PITA, just because they’re older.
Before we get to the prompts, a few guidelines.
- Write whatever fandom you want. I truly don’t care. All it will do is expose me to new fandoms.
- I am not a fan of incest of any kind so I will not read it, but I will reblog it. Different strokes.
- Most other subject material is fine. Dark fics (please put warnings), smut, fluff, angst.
- With it being the holidays, I’m gonna give you guys time. We’ll call final submission date as Mardi Gras 2021 May 16! We can’t actually celebrate in person because COVID, so this is the next best thing. Tuesday, February 16, 2021. May 16, 2021.
- Use the tag #colehit100 in the first 5. I’ll be putting that tag on my follow list.
- Let me know if you’re participating!
Now for the prompts. Again, most of these come from my 11 year old. So, bear that in mind when you read them. (Multiple people can submit per prompt so don’t think it’s a big deal if someone’s already tagged next to it!)
- “Is it Sunday?” “No, it’s Tuesday.” “No, No! I sleep!” - @unnuevosoltransformalarealidad
- “There’s a marshmallow in my nose.” - @that-one-gay-girl
- “Kill all men. Except Daddy. And Pahn. And the gays.”
- “Wait, Jim’s a Kardashian?”
- “No need to worry. I’m just weird.” - @anaelsbrunette
- “The pretty girlfriend!”
- “Why am I so short?”
- “What’s 1337?”
- “You can’t like that song. It’s our religion.”
- “I have a table under the swing.”
- “Can I go outside in the rain if I put pants on?” - @cajunquandary
- “I’m being nice. But you don’t sing. I don’t want you to sing.” @tvdspngirl314
- “Hey! No Angry!”
- “No, No! Don’t clean my room!” @downanddirtydean
- “My Owlette robot! My room is so clean!”
- “But my eyes are not wet.”
I’m going to tag a few people. Shares are appreciated.
