As someone who tries their best to make sure the people I love are safe and happy. But, also someone who struggles a lot with finding true friends, and people who actually care about me, past my family. I suppose I'm just someone who is a little lost.
That's the broad thing, and my traits are something else entirely.
A/N: I know I'll, of course, be seeing you today, but I have this habit of writing fics for friends' and celebrities' birthdays, so, I decided to write one for you too. I hope you like it. :)
.
You awoke on the morning of your birthday to find a 'happy birthday' banner hung up in your room, a smile spreading on your face as you remembered what day it was, and that you were now eighteen, a legal adult. You began to think about the things you were now able to do at your new, older age, when you jumped at the sound of your cell phone vibrating on the bedside table next to you. You couldn't even remember bringing your phone upstairs with you the night before, but you figured that you had to at some point. You then picked it up, glancing down at the new text, your eyebrows furrowing as you realized that you didn't recognize the number.
Happy birthday, baby xx
The text confused you, since it looked like one that a boyfriend would send to his girlfriend, and clearly you weren't dating anyone, but you still enjoyed the fact that somehow someone remembered your birthday (even though you were a little creeped out since you had no idea who this person was). You then decided to get out of bed, of course taking your phone with you. Standing at the top of the staircase, you could hear different voices coming from downstairs, one of them in particular being one that you recognized, but it didn't belong to someone that was usually in your house. You take a step forward, standing right at the edge of the top stair, cursing the floor for making noise as you moved. You then heard frantic whispers, and that one standout voice no longer audible. You then make your way downstairs, earning a chorus of 'happy birthday's from your parents and younger sister. You thank them for their kind messages, hugging each of them as an added way to show your thanks. You then sit down on one of the room's couches, waiting for someone to speak up since it seemed as though they were keeping secrets from you.
Soon, gifts were being tossed your way, and with each one you opened, your smile grew. But after opening the three gifts, you were surprised to look up and still see your sister with a hand behind her back. As a sign of curiosity, your eyebrows went up, eyes meeting hers. Your mom gave her a small push, causing her to stumble slightly, beginning to speak.
"Um, there's, uh, one last surprise for you." She said shyly, taking an envelope out from behind her back, handing it to you. You quickly open it to see a regular old birthday card, one that happened to have pictures of characters from your favorite tv show, Glee. You open the card to hear the familiar tune of the cast's cover of 'Teenage Dream', surprised that that was the song that went along with the card, since it mainly included one of the not-as-popular main character's voice, one who only joined the show after its second season. You quickly read through the card's corny message to glance down at the signature written out at the bottom, your jaw dropping as you recognized it to belong to the actor who played said character. You then lifted your gaze up to see your family members smiling down at you, your younger sibling looking like she was about to burst with excitement.
"Surprise!" She said loudly, and you were about to question why she said that, when said actor who had signed your card casually walked into the room, wide smile on his face. You blinked a couple times in surprise, pinching your leg to make sure you weren't dreaming. You glanced back up at your sister, who also wore a smile, nodding as if to reassure you that this really was happening. Out of your excitement, you jumped out of your seat, hugging your sister tightly, pressing a grateful kiss to her cheek. You then ran away, ignoring the fact that your parents were probably the ones who planned this and not her. As you rushed over towards said celebrity who was currently in your house, you only thought about him. He chuckled at your enthusiasm, but you didn't care. He then opened his arms out, waiting for you to jump into them. Giggling, you did exactly what he wanted, practically jumping forward, wrapping your arms around his neck, hugging him tightly. You could feel him hug you back, his arms wrapping tightly around your waist. Far behind you, you knew that your family was watching you, before your younger sister spoke.
"We'll be, um, leaving you two lovebirds alone." She said, giggling at her own joke, before she and your parents went upstairs, giving you and Darren the privacy you wanted. Pulling out of the hug, you blushed deeply at the mention of the word 'lovebirds'. Sure, you were crushing on Darren, but you never thought you'd have a chance with him since he was eight years older than you ... and had a girlfriend (despite the fact that most of the people you knew assumed he was gay). As you tried to back out of the hug, you found the grip on your waist tightening. Looking up at Darren, you were surprised to see his gaze dropping down to your lips every so often. Of course, you've dreamed of scenarios where something like this happened, but never in a million years did you think that it would come true. Taking advantage of the moment while you had it, you made the first move, leaning up and capturing Darren's lips in a kiss. He, of course, was quick to kiss back, trying to take dominance of the kiss. He had so many thoughts going through his mind of what he wanted to do with you, having found himself falling for you as soon as your eyes met that first time. You shared some similar thoughts, but felt slightly scared, since you had just turned eighteen, and Darren was really one of very few guys you'd ever kissed. Pulling back, you let out a sigh.
"I want to," You whispered, Darren understanding exactly what you meant. "But, you know, even though we're alone in the room together, we're not completely alone." Darren nodded.
"I understand." He said, leaning in and whispering in your ear. "I'll just have to take you out somewhere nice tonight we can then have our complete privacy later on." You blushed at that, nodding. As he pulled back, he smiled.
"Well, I should be going." He went on to say, letting go of you completely, heading towards the front door of the house.
"Wait!" You said as you followed him. "I don't even have your number."
"I sent you a text before." Darren argued. Another blush covered your cheeks as you thought back to the sweet but mysterious message you'd received that morning. Darren chuckled at your reaction, stepping forward and placing one last kiss on your lips.
"Happy birthday, babe." He whispered directly into your ear, pressing a kiss to your cheek before leaving the house completely. As you stood there, you still felt like everything that had just happened was all a dream. But, you heard your phone going off back in the room you'd just been in, so you ran back, seeing another new message from the same number that had sent you a text earlier.
I'll pick you up @ 7. wear something pretty. ;) -D xx
Blushing for what felt like the hundredth time that day, you quickly typed a response.
