There’s a supposed “leak” of Colin Trevarrow’s unused Episode IX script out there today.

Let me just say: It matches absolutely none of what we’ve been told about his script by sources like, oh, Mark Hamill? So I think we can safely ignore this “leak.”

Does anyone else find it incredibly specious that it took all of a week for the narrative around Colin Trevarrow's departure from Episode IX to shift from "a anonymous source says Disney execs are control freaks and Kathleen Kennedy is paranoid about the details on these films bc she doesn't want to do anything too different or experimental" to "No, a NEW anonymous source says that Trevarrow is the control freak! And he's egotistical and a jerk and nobody ever liked him!"

Liiiiiike I think we just caught up in a really ugly breakup and everybody is just pointing fingers and making wild accusations now?

But if I were taking bets on which side is most accurate, I mean... just follow the track records.

Who keeps rearranging things down to the last minute and firing directors and ignoring the very pitches that got the directors hired in favor of repeating old beats?

Who keeps agreeing to take on outside ideas in his work, however dumb those ideas may be? ("I should never take off my high heels in the whole film. I should be running in those heels at the end. It's a symbol to her devotion to her corporate presentation!" "Sure, if you feel strongly about that... okay.")

Mmmmm. Yeah...
