The album itself is mostly standard Colis fare; if you like your bouncy chiptune electronica, you’ll enjoy this album. A little less rock influence within the mixes this time around, until you get to the final of 3 different remixes of Heart Wave. While that does sound like too much of the same thing, each does have their own uniqueness to still be enjoyable. The couple of battle tracks are pretty tight, too. 

In some ways, yes, it could use a little more variety of songs, with some popular ones I definitely would have loved to hear remixed. But regardless, it’s nice to hear an album of remixes that are all Star Force-focused.

In terms of pure musical variety, I think it barely eeks out over Mega Xross Mixx as my fave Colis album. ‘Course, who wouldn’t prefer 2-disc, 30-some track albums? From my embedded player on my page, you can already rock out to the awesome EXE Transmission version of Shadowman.EXE’s WWW stage theme.

A couple others I totally love included a combo of X2′s Zero theme and Hunter vs. Hunter in Symphony for Zero:

And the insane breakneck speed piano on the final half of the track that is layered with the uptempo beats of EXE3′s Main Theme on Black * White:

I thought I posted this before but I guess now. Anyway been super into this track for some reason, which is funny ‘cause I don’t care much for house/club music. But I dunno something about it is sexy.

tbh the samples for this album kind of disappoint me. I’ve always been sort of iffy on Colis Records, but they’re the only ones who consistantly do Rockman doujin albums. ah well, I’ll still pick it up.

Been too long waiting to finally hear the latest Colis Rockman compilation in it’s entirety; it’s a CD that focuses just on Rockman ending themes, which came out way back in October. I couldn’t find it for sale anywhere forever. And while maybe not quite as strong or memorable overall as some of the more recent albums, plenty of tracks to dig on here. A good variety from all the artists again, mixing some heavy guitar, classic piano, smooth jazz, and breakneck chiptune. Totally loved the renditions of “Kaze yo Tsutaete,” the X2 ending, and most of the Classic tracks. A bit disappointed on the Rockman World ones, though.

Eager to hear what they come out with next, which is supposed to be an EXE tribute album. It’ll be nice to see a remix album finally fully devoted to EXE music. Heck, with the 15th anniversary and all, I wish we’d finally get the remaining anime OST tracks for Axess-Beast+. I miss my ominously powerful Darkchip battle song. :/

I will love this scene forever.
