Challenge 1

I got to collab with some awesome people for Challenge 1!! From Left to Right: Lennie (@wanderlust-pixels), Dayna (@miss-sassy-simmer), Leillani (@berryique), Piper & Shane (me), and Ellery (@morganaplays).

Thank you so much to each of you for entrusting me with your simmies! Piper & Shane had a ton of fun at the amusement park with everyone!

Leillani and Ellery don’t quite look right cause I don’t have their skins, but using photos I improvised to get them as close as possible :)

Summer’s End...

Hey Matt @catharticexperience​!! This wasn’t the one I had planned to do, but thought it would fit nicely with our #collab fun theme! Matt and I agreed to find something that showed the end of summer which wasn’t focused on just nature. Nature could be included, though!

What was fun about this collaboration was that this isn’t something I would normally photograph, but when I came across it, I thought, “Hey! I could use this for our collaboration!” Okay, I admit... there’s a lotta nature goin’ on here, but I DID capture something that I would usually overlook!! :D In case you missed it, Matt’s post for our collaboration is here.

Teasel Tuesday. Thank-you so much to Angie @novice-at-play for the Teasel photo… I added my hand as a double exposure. Turned out fine I think? Enjoy your day!

My humble contribution to the double exposure prompt on @letstalkphotography. It also serves as my effort for the “#collab fun” @novice-at-play and I are continuing. I went for a silhouette of my own and layered her superb photo on top. A dichotomy between the city and nature. A back alley with wonderful lines and a lake with a gorgeous shoreline. I’ve worked with double exposure in the past, but never tried to join two opposing forces before. It’s definitely something I plan to attempt again in the future.

The Ruins...

Continuing our monthly “#collab fun” activity, Matt @catharticexperience​ and I thought it would be a great idea to do this in conjunction with the current “#photoprompt” activity on @letstalkphotography, Double Exposure! 

We each, put a variety of photographs in a shared Google drive. Then picked one from each of us to create a double exposure! In this photograph, the ruins (old chimneys) is Matt’s photo and the moon is mine! I went a bit crazy, but was excited to try this out for the first time! 

We’d love to see others give this a try! Either with a friend or by yourself! Make sure to tag them #collab fun and/or #photoprompt so we can find yours! For more info on @letstalkphotography​’s photo prompt theme, check out their blog!

I couldn’t decide which version I preferred. When Angie @novice-at-play said we should do collaborative double exposures, I made a lot of them with her photos. I think one of these is my favorite I did with her. But, like I said I never could decide which.

@novice-at-play was kind enough to lend her superb editing skills to a few of my photos for me. This is the first of three photos I sent to her to edit. Which turned into, well how would I edit them? How different would our interpretations be? I believe taking the same photo and having two different points of view on them is nothing less than fascinating. Her take is on the left and mine on the right.

Who would you choose to do this with? What might the differences be? 

I believe the answers would be worth finding out. We would love it if you tried! Just tag your posts “#collab fun” so we can find them!

I trusted Angie @novice-at-play with my all time favorite sunset/photo experience. To be there was to believe something greater than myself had created the majesty and beauty I saw that evening. I still look back at the unedited versions from that night in awe of them. Right place, right time.

The first one is my edit this time, the middle is the original, and the right is Angie’s. I think seeing the transition from original to edit is even more interesting laid out together. 

She said my edits of this in the past pushed her into a different direction, as I found myself pushed into a different direction with the previous set we shared with you by her vision of my photo. I know, at least, for my part this has pushed me to edit with a little different mindset and that’s never a bad thing.
