Across the 198 wards of Bengaluru municipality, about Rs 150 crore is pending for payment. We have been collecting garbage honestly and we demand timely payment. Without making payments, they cannot accuse us. Also, BBMP has accused that fake bills were made for more than 100 compactors in the city. We have always demanded that the BBMP takes an account of compactors within city limits and we are ready to help them in this matter. However, they have now promised to release the payment within a week and we will hold a meeting on Wednesday. Until then, we will continue collecting garbage. If the payment is not made within the given time (June 21) we will stage intensified protest.
