Being in a band with over 200 people for the first time is an experience because in the backstage(?) parts of the stadium after our first halftime show my squad leader yelled “can you watch my freshman?!” and then just left me with the mellophone section. I play piccolo.

I’m the only person in my 200+ member marching band from my state and whenever I tell people where I’m from they go “ohhhh YOU’RE the guy from [state]!” every time without fail

I spent yesterday doing marching band stuff for 22 hours straight and my legs hurt so fucking bad

History has been made! The UCMB Tower was erected today!
