those widowtracer college au headcanons are so damn cute. i need more *w*

OKAY OKAY SO!!- Amélie prides herself on cultivating the cool ice queen image, okay. and then here comes fucking Lena whose sole goal in life is to apparently annoy the shit out of her, which manifests in metaphorical pigtail-pulling and horrible terrible flirting. think Han and Leia, except Lena is a much peppier Han and Amélie is trying so v hard to not yell at her. the success of that varies.- SPEAKING OF HAN AND LEIA, Lena is a goddamn Star Wars nerd. she and Winston keysmash regularly at each other and she has a prized Empire Strikes Back movie poster hanging on her dorm room wall. given the chance to go back in time she would happily hang out with young Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford.- of course, due to Lena's roommate dropping out sometime into the first semester and Amélie ditching her roommate Gabriel - who she's PRETTY SURE is hatefucking Morrison now and she does not need to hear that, thanks, you guys - they end up in the same room together. which means Amélie's pet tarantula Leblanc (get it? get it? it's ironic 'cause he's actually a black tarantula) gets to share space with Lena's beloved Leia Organa figures.- also, yes, Amélie has a pet tarantula. he is actually an adorable little thing who absolutely loves attention. Lena is a bit freaked when she comes in one day to find Amélie COOING at this hairy eight-legged beast like what the FUCK woman, get a DOG.- anyway, their RA is Satya and she's a bit Weird about pets in dorms. she's quite nice! but also, not very happy about pets in her dorm, so what happens usually is that whenever there's a surprise inspection (and there are MANY) Lena and Amélie have to hide Leblanc so Satya doesn't freak the fuck out when she sees Amélie's giant adorable spider.- this has led to some hilarious sitcom-worthy situations. "what are you two doing?" Satya asks. "um," says Lena, for once speechless, bc Amélie has crowded her up against poor Leblanc's space. (Leblanc is peeved by all this.) "what do you THINK," says Amélie, raising a brow.- anyway, they are Bonding, and Amélie is starting to grow very very fond of Lena.- like. falling in love fond.- merde.

for your headcanon thing, how bout widowtracer in a college au?

ok so!- Lena Oxton is an Engineering major who's got her eye set on becoming a pilot. until then, she is a great mechanic, which works wonders for her bc then she makes good connections at her shop, and it also helps that she's a member of the Overwatch organization - idk what it is exactly but let's say they're a bunch of geeks who get together and do shit sometimes. FOR CHARITY.- granted there was a huge controversy way back involving somebody's robot costume malfunctioning and also, Gabriel Reyes and Jack Morrison breaking up in a spectacularly awful fashion. but now they're BAAAAACK.- Amélie Lacroix is a Fashion major. her ex-boyfriend Gérard had to move away tho, and they decided not to maintain a long-distance relationship. Amélie leaves for the summer and when she comes back she's like, absolutely cool but also she's been kind of an asshole since the break-up happened.- they meet bc Talon and Overwatch are opposing groups of geeks, so while everyone is focused on Morrison and Reyes nearly strangling each other, Amélie takes the time to absolutely destroy current reigning solitaire champion Mondatta at his own game. Lena comes on this and is just like "HEY that wasn't fair you CHEATED", possibly while Mondatta cries into Zenyatta's shirt.- it is the start of a beautiful kinda-friendship with lots and lots of mutual flirting and also, Lena annoying the shit out of Amélie.
