Caleb headcanon:
Sometimes, after working as a Colonel all day when he comes home he’ll still be in a Fleet Colonel mode.
That doesn’t mean he’s treating you like he treats the fleet never. For instance, if you’re being bratty he gives you that hardened look. The one a scary Colonel gives to people below him. But it never worked with you. Which he knew, in fact right after he’d tilt his head with wide eyes. Switching to your weakness of the puppy dog gazes. Almost like switch flipping in his brain. And that always worked.
