Oops! I've been a bit disorganised again and neglecting to post stuff! 😵‍💫

I think I've spread my attention too thin between different things and not really accomplishing much at all. Also been dreading social media again so that's made posting art difficult.

Working through episode 8 of Colony: Rise of the Monarch tonight!

This episode definitely envokes a feeling of childlike wonder as Winton leaves home for the first time~

Posting this one about a month late for Invertober but I'd never forgive myself if I missed out on drawing one of my favourite Insects- the Reddish-brown Stag Beetle!

I love their wide heads, silly oversized mandibles, and the clumsy way they fly! ❤

In the height of Summer these hard-working Pollen Basket Bees collect pollen from the acres of blooming Roses around Farleigh. For countless generations they have raised and cultivated these great blossoms, turning their sparkling pollen into an astonishing selection of local goods! 🐝

This drawing has been in the works for some time now. I think the original sketches were from August last year! I'm very glad to have had the time to finish it and I'm super happy with the result!

Oh no! Miss Asterid worked so hard on that gift but June is going through another growth spurt! 🐛 --- I'm actually really happy with the general quality of this page. This is a good example of what I want Colony: Rise of the Monarch to look like, and I think I'm happy with this kind of handwriting for the text! You'll also notice the custom background pattern I've used for this. I took a couple of hours aside to put together a pattern I liked. I worked it out so that it loops (more-or-less) perfectly on the WebToons format! There are little moths and Beetles that make the pale green look a bit nicer~ I'm going to do some more of these one-off comic pages in future, looking at fun character interactions. I decided to redraw the Shieldbug Knight using my recent program/style. This was one of my first character designs that I digitised for Colony and it's nice to go back and update some of my earlier drawings~

The Shieldbugs were one of many species pushed out of Arboria as the Ants took hold of Maple-Arch. They fled to Wildroot and the Eastern Meadows for safety where Bugs and Insects can live away from conflict.

Progress on Episode 7 of Colony: Rise of the Monarch is going well 🦋

This episode features a little childrens book which has been fun to work on. It's pretty wholesome and I love a sweet ending~
