hey, concerning your death parade review. the peisode had a scene after the ending where they say that the husband was sent to be reincarnated and the wife was sent into the void. the masks on the elvator probably don't mean anything. just thought you should know, this might change your opinion a little (or not)
I saw that scene! Perhaps I misinterpreted it, but I thought that it only confirmed the fact that the man was forgiven and got another shot at life through reincarnation, while the woman was sent to the void, which in many religious traditions equals purgatory or hell. I mean, it’s clear who is the better party in this case. I thought the added scenes were meant to explain what’d happened to people who didn’t get what the masks meant. (And aside from introducing us to new characters, I thought they were a little unnecessary.) Unless you thought something else? And the masks not having any meaning would make me sad. That little shock I got when I saw the colors of the masks above the elevators was the most exciting thing in the episode.Either way, I definitely didn’t dislike it. I’ll continue to watch it for now because at least it’s captivated me enough to write a Tumblr post on it. But so far it’s not strong enough that I can predict I’ll watch it to the end. We’ll see about that. ^^ Thanks for letting me know though!
