For the shiny line, if it hasnt been done yet, what's your opinion of venonat? It's simple but I like the shiny line a lot, as well as just the line in general. Underrated bug.

Venonat: Venonat's shiny is alright, swapping red for blue on the eyes and nose while desaturating the rest of the body. It's noticeable enough due to how prominent the red is on the original design, but having that being the only major hue change feels a bit underwhelming. Given how Venonat's shiny works, it would've made more sense for the body to have become blue and then the eyes and nose yellow or something, maybe even make the appendages white instead of tan.

Venomoth: That said, I do like Venomoth's shiny a lot. I'm not sure if there was any rationale behind it being blue (other than it maybe appearing as blue and yellow in its original RB art), but it's a pleasant color and it looks pretty different from the original. Nothing else much to say, just a simple nice palette swap.

Overall: Venonat's shiny is fine, but could've been pushed a bit more. Venomoth's shiny is pretty nice and is the better of the two.

Your ship reblog made me so happy, especially your reply about adding a lil toxicity to your wholesome ships. I currently have a few pinescone aus that are rotten, and it's sometimes a nice change of pace, even when wholesome is my favorite flavor of them. ....well wholesome and horny XD. But again, sometimes a nasty au is just freeing and fun!
