I want to say that I will Never Fucking recover from Emukasa Fes.
Genuinely what was in their fucking water while writing these
Colorpalet confirming Tsukasa never let himself be vulnerable around Saki, always repressing his own pain to save her from her own. The fact that the brother in the story becomes exhausted after putting his sister on his shoulder so many times that he falls from exhaustion, being a clear parallel to him. Tsukasa telling the brother, whose face was filled with tears to keep putting on a brave face a little longer.
Colorpalet confirming Emu still not having moved on from her grandpa. The book filled with ideas she had, one of them being a way to accomodate her grandpa's struggles to just go up the stairs. An idea she never executed from the fear of it being impossible and now she'll never get to make it a reality. Her fragment sekai allowing her to see him one more time before it's ripped away from her just as quickly. She clearly misses him and yet doesn't want to cry because she doesn't want the time she spent with him to be tainted with sadness.
Colorpalet overall confirming WxS's theme of loneliness and keeping your feelings under lock and key. During their past they had no one to confide in, no shoulder to cry on and now they finally have it. But it's hard to suddenly be honest about your feelings, it's hard when you spent so long not even being honest to yourself.
In the main story they were just caricatures of themselves, facades they both showed others and believed in.
It's not a surprise WxS's story feel strangely more mature now, not only because they're growing but because they're finally discovering those feelings they kept burying for so long.
....Though someof them are quicker on confronting them than others (*cough* Rui.,)
