This was annoying. How long was he going to wait here? He was trapped on this mountain. He could spend time breaking through the barrier, but he saw no reason to. At least not with the offerings made. He hates human and would hunt them when they entered into his territory. Or make them wonder aimlessly as they slowly starved to death or suercom to his miasma. It was one of his more entertaining days.
The main reason he hasn't left is because other opponents they throw his way. Each one is stronger than the last. Allowing him to grow stronger. They normally show up near the shrine. The one place he can't seem to destroy. They have stopped the usual offerings. Hence, his annoyance. Though there was a new face at his last destruction attempt.
A blond boy. He seemed young in human years. They saw each other. It was brief, but he saw the look or realization on the boys face. The blond could see him. His new opponent or just a new worker? The Oni takes great care to remember the faces of the people who work at the shrine. They are the people he spares or will spare when he leaves. Though it seems it may be later. The barrier was disturbed. A new offering? He will head down but watch them from a distance.
