ColossalCon 2014
So our first colossalcon was a blast but let me tell you what, this one was a true turning point for @song-for-the-seasons and I. We ended cosplaying as Tony(me) and Paige(Ru) from Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared. We decided prior to the con to get into character for them. We never got out of character. Because of these two household gijinkas our friendship grew deeper and we learned things about ourselves that we never would have learn had we not dressed up as these guys.
I was introduced to Tony a little bit before con. Ru had already planned to cosplay as Paige after seeing Modmad’s human forms for them. She introduced me to Tony and I fell in love with this stupid clock. Hands down, after Ember, Tony is one of my favorite characters to cosplay. He allows me to dig down and bring out the wilder, crazy side of myself.
Thursday I had cosplayed as Pink Pants Danny, a crazy tumblr faze that passed through the Danny Phantom Phandom. It was all because someone tried to print a picture of Danny and their printer started running out of ink leaving pink stripes in his paints. The Phandom pretty much exploded after that.
Of course, I brought back Ember. I had a pretty bad sunburn that I decided to cover up with body paint. Never again. Unless its just on the face for Tony, I told myself I was never going to wear that much body paint ever again.
