Star Wars Is Weird - Bees in SPACE!!!

The Colossus Wasp is a vacuum surviving insect that lives in asteroid fields. I find the idea that space bees exist in Star Wars as really out there (The Tales of the Jedi comics had some very interesting art designs), but I guess it makes a sliver more sense than SPACE SLUGS as seen in Episode V. LIKE HOW DO THOSE WORM THINGS EVEN MOVE FROM ASTEROID TO ASTEROID?

Anyway, as per Wookieepedia... “Colossus wasps were spacefaring insects that grew to be over a kilometer in length. Their varied diet consisted of living matter such as space slugs, inanimate matter like asteroidal minerals, and even pure energy such as stellar radiation. The wasps spent 18 out of every 25 months of the Ithull year in the asteroid field of the Stenness system foraging for sustenance. The other seven months were spent in the atmosphere of Ithull mating, spawning and raising their young.“

These things EAT Space Slugs! That just makes me feel bad for the one that the Millennium Falcon escaped from. By the next movie, it was probably dead by the mandibles of these asshole wasps. RIP.
