Martin Parr

Martin Parr (born 23 May 1952) is a British documentary photographer, photojournalist and photobook collector. He is known for his photographic projects that take a critical look at aspects of modern life, in particular provincial and suburban life in England. He is a member of Magnum.

I have researched Martin Parr because out of all the photographers ion Magnum photographs he has chosen to take his photographs in colour. Although black and white does give off a great effect and catches your eye because i feel that it wipes back the photograph and makes it strong by you focusing in on one thing. Like street photographers that take photographs of people or streets and change or even take it with black and white film it creates such a strong image because it just takes away the "busyness" of the street and it seems a lot calmer yet stronger.
