Team: Hard Skinned

Studio Theme: Posthuman

Hard Skinned Theme: Making something comfortable uncomfortable.

Concept:Testing out the human psychological behaviours in-game to experiment the process of neural network from the Artificial Intelligence. The purpose of this is to compete with the human mind using AI.

Why do we need to experiment the players behaviours in-game? To break their comfort zone and reveal their insecurities.

How are we going to do this? Through effects of colours, sounds, and different types of behaviours that is generated by the AI’s in-game.

Why does this matter to others? What is the purpose? To challenge the human players and help them realise their insecurities and to help them learn their controlled neural process while gaming.

Think about shapes, colours, audience/ have a reason for why we are     choosing features for the game - psychology research

Presentation - we can visualise it as a demo     video(marketing)/simulation/use after effects, prototype showing our     design, continuous implementations for its different functionality and     testing regardless.

Maze like game (decided after multiple iterations

Look at existing games/stories/characters - Marketing research

Figure out a game engine. (unreal engine, CryEngine, unity, build     box) - Working on UE4 after experiencing 4 different engines.

Conclude on a design idea and create iterations by bringing our     ideas together.

Blog about specific hat in the team

Mood board of our ideas - look at people’s ideas

Emotional depth and authenticity in the story.

AI agents - competing against them

machine learning and natural language processing are neural     networks concepts

What is the problem? What is the protagonists end goal? Having one     main character.

 So what’s happening now?

Thinking hats we wear...

We are now making prototypes for play testing even though it’ll be iterated many other times while developing the game. Us a group are working on the concept art while Osamu and I have started programming the out layer of the game on Unreal Engine software. While we are doing this, Hooryah will be making decisions on the prototypes that proves our concept. Osamu and I will then work on UI’s for the details in the project while Stephan decides on how the game is operated. From what he decides, Hiren will take the information and do his research on what is out there in the market and gets back to Hooryah for multiple other designs and gets it approved by Stephan for the game performance. Osamu and I will then work on the details of the implementation and how the game behaves. In order for us to proceed with what is given from Hooryah and Stephan, we need to visit the notes taken in class and from what we have gathered now, the focus is on the colour pallet, features and the mechanism of the game.
