I have encourporated small strips of paper into the painting, adding blocks of solid colour into the mixing tones of the paint. 

This began with photos of copper wire sculptures, that I took at the white cube gallery. I began to collage the images, making them gradually more abstract. I then took colours from the wire using photoshop which I then collaged. I cut the colours into small thin strips to link to the small pieces of wire. When painting I made a background of the correct colours, but very flowing, with the colours mixing together. Sticking the strips of colour to the paint links it to the copper wire, and causes the viewer to link the painting below to the copper sculpture.

Day 3: Build your Creative Voice Challenge - Pick an emotiona & work with that.

I picked the emotion Joy and started to think about what would make me feel really joyful - I found this old sheet of colour swatches which Id been meaning to cut circles out of 'just because' and because it would bring joy - just to be playful!! This challenge gave me the fuel to do it and then started playing with the circles which I felt to just place randomly on the grass - almost looks like a sculpture and could translate into a public sculpture of some sort!
