[A post of remembrance] We were saddened to learn of @coltonjames15’s (Colt Brennan) this morning. Brian was blessed to have had his friendship away from football. What he did for a state - Hawaiʻi - can’t be measured. We met at a neighborhood park in 2018 and spent time just talking about life, along with sharing laughs of being a part of the very special 2007 Hawaii Warrior football season (I was just a lowly graduate assistant, Colt was the rockstar!). Colt expressed a strong desire to get better (in life) so he could give back to his new “home” - Hawaiʻi. We kept in contact and agreed to meet up again when he returned to the island. Though it’s sad we won’t meet again, I take comfort in knowing he’s now in a better place. His legacy will last forever and those who enjoyed watching him sling a football around in 2005 to 2007 will share their memories with their children. Luckily, @youtube has many videos of Colt’s great skills. Rest easy, my friend. You’ll always be a Warrior.
