Wishful thinking usually didn't work out for Nadine, and that usually left the girl to keep from ever thinking in such a manner, but when it came to Colton, Nadine often let herself do things that she didn't normally consider. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that her first time really truly spending time with him ended with her kissing him even though she was already taken, or maybe it was just because she really loved the boy and let her guard down around him more than she did with most people. Either way, she was relieved that he wasn't opposed to her coming over to see him since she was already halfway there by the time she had asked. There were no dance rehearsals the next day, so Nadine didn't have to worry about being up at five in the morning like she usually did, and it felt like it had been a good century or two since she had seen her best friend, so it only made sense that she was willing to make her way to his house and stand on his doorstep until he let her in if he had said no to her coming over. She tugged the jacket that she was wearing around her tighter to keep the night chill out as she stepped up to his house and knocked on the door, smiling a little at the thought of being able to see Colton and just hug him and be by his side again. Sure, she saw him at school every now and again, but it wasn't enough and the moments that they did have to spend together were usually interrupted by someone else or by going to another class. Not that Nadine wasn't grateful for those brief moments, but she wanted time to Colton by herself every now and again, and that was her own selfish wish that she was glad was going to come true tonight.
