A digital spin in the dining room, trying to keep Oliver off the charging iPad. Playing with play-doh, Jillian on the computer, and the general commotion of a school day off.
This was recommended by former manager, Anamitra. I do have a Love Supreme on vinyl, so knew Coltrane as a must listen, but don’t think I’ve ever listened to this.
It started with a fast pace, proving the perfect backing for the frenetic morning. I’m still not quite sure how you tell “good jazz” from “bad.” I do enjoy a wide variety in that spectrum - live and recorded, with horns, piano, guitar, organs. Maybe I’ll have to dedicate a series of listens to acclaimed musicians and otherwise to see if I can tease out the difference.
