It’s been the year of Columbo in our home. We are hopelessly endeared to this rumpled little detective, nemesis to rich murderers worldwide.

Thus the Columbo car charm was born. and one more thing...a limited number are up for grabs here!

I just watched the Columbo episode ‘Now You See Him’ for the first time. I’d been looking forward to it for so long, and omg I was not disappointed - it has EVERYTHING; Wilson, Dog, the ‘I can’t think in this coat’ coat, Jack Cassidy, the whole scene where Columbo volunteers in the magic show etc etc… it’s just such a fun, feel-good episode you almost don’t notice how amazing the plot is, I mean 10/10 magnificent episode 👏 👏

It also just really adds to it for me that Columbo’s personality is so on point in this, like kudos to the writer and director or whoever because a few episodes ago I had a bit of an issue with this tbh. When I was watching ‘Identity Crisis’, I just felt like the characterisation was really off. Maybe it’s just me, but it reminded me of the way people talk about the notorious ‘Last Salute to the Commodore’, and turns out they’re both directed by McGoohan, so maybe his episodes just aren’t my thing (nothing against him).

Anyway, ‘Now You See Him’ is just top tier for me, and I’ll keep an open mind with the Commodore, which actually happens to be the next episode…
