Now ya see, I was about to head off for the night, and don’t get me wrong, I still am, but uh, tumblr mutual? There’s just one more thing.
See, my wife, she’s better at this whole “tumblr” thing than I am. Got a few “sideblogs,” in a few communities, but me, I just keep it simple, y’know? Still learnin’ the ropes and all that.
Well despite all that I’ve still managed to wind up with a few “mutuals” which from my understandin’ (and I could be wrong) signifies… a certain level of friendship. So I pay attention to the post, because when your friend talks, well I figure you oughta listen. And, pardon me if I’m wrong, but I coulda sworn I remember this particular post you made…
Y’see I remember thinkin’ it was funny at the time, because you mentioned in the post what time it was in your timezone and wouldn’t you know it, it was the same time where I was. Funny how that works out, isn’t it?
Now I’m not one for jumpin’ to conclusions, but unless you’ve moved recently, that means we share a timezone. Hell of a coincidence, that. Big ol’ internet out there and the two of us just happened to be in the same timezone… ah, but I’m gettin’ sidetracked. Where was I… right.
Awfully funny then, that if we share a timezone, that you’re postin’ at this hour. But that’s none of my business. Although I can’t help but remember; didn’t you say you haven’t been gettin’ enough sleep?
Hold on guys columbo’s gotta use the suspect’s pool table
Deathnote wouldve been solved in a day if columbo was on the case…
I actually did start watching columbo cuz of that ask btw, it can be pretty interesting. I dont watch a whole lotta shows this old either so its interesting getting to digest the way it goes about certain things. How the women are written, the way people talk about things etc. Also just the production in general.
I had seen Columbo around on tumblr before tbh, but I didn't know much about him other than the fact that he mentions his wife whos never shown a lot. Also no ones ever mentioned that the show, for the most part, is told from the killers perspective rather than Columbo's himself. You dont really get to see how Columbo solves anything at all.
Im on episode 4 rn, and theres this Really Cool sequence. And its this prolonged close up on the killers eyes and he doesnt move but in the reflection of his glasses is a montage of him cleaning up the crime. Its like hes having an out of body experience. Watching the events take place rather than being the one to inact them. The fact that the murder was something of an accident too only adding to the whole vibe really
extremely loveable characters from 70s TV shows who are freakishly good at their jobs, have a strong sense of justice, enjoy being annoying, and fucking hate guns: lieutenant columbo 🤝 hawkeye pierce
figure drawing practice. i can watch tv AND do something else! that's like, two whole things!!
