I recently came into possession of this heat-reactive mug and I figured you would appreciate it both for the dinosaurs and the columns
THIS WAS MADE FOR ME SPECIFICALLY!!!!
You can now get loners named Corinthian, Doric, and Ionic in clangen. Hashtag my impact
Hoping that links properly but Ionic column dress :D! Hope you're doing alright!!
I’m doing okay!!! I’m getting a ton of spam/bot asks lately so I was debating turning them off but this changed my mind. Peak fashion.
I’ve been avoiding tumblr like the plague to dodge spoilers until I can watch the new fallout, but in the meantime please enjoy some column pics from Hearst Castle! Very cool architecture, but god the museum wouldn’t stop glazing the guy when he was literally the worst
pspsps. friend have you seen the Gianfranco Ferré Palladio pillar dress for 1992 Dior. thought I should ask the local column enjoyer abt it
HOLLLYYYYY SHIT THIS IS PEAK!!! When I inevitably become president I will make this the new standard of attire.
I've read throughout your #column posting tag and didn't see the column story I remembered because of it so I'll tell it here just in case. It's about an architect who designed a building with several columns to support it. However, his client wasn't happy with the project. Afraid that the building would collapse with the way it's planned, he insisted that several more columns be added to the structure. The architect decided to not argue, and the columns were built. HOWEVER, they weren't columns at all! They had no part in load bearing, built just a little bit shorter than the ceiling! Proving the architect right for the centuries to come while not displeasing his client. I forgot the names but that's likely about Christopher Wren and the Windsor Guildhall from what google says.
to be fair, I too would argue that any building needs more columns even if they weren’t load bearing. Just . Every surface is columns. The ceiling is columns. The floor is columns
i love your column posts!! are there other architectural details and motifs you like or have fun facts about?
You see this shit? This is NOT A GARGOYLE!! It is a grotesque.
A gargoyle is functional. It diverts water. A grotesque is decorative. It doesn’t do shit (just looks cool)
Now these. These are Gargoyles.
