Thursday 18 November 2021
Catching the winter sunshine are the branches and seedcases of Colutea persica (bladder senna). This deciduous shrub from Southern Iran has delicate pinnate leaves and small pea-like yellow or deep orange flowers followed by translucent, inflated fruits.
Jill Raggett

Colutea arborescens, sown October 2019 and germinated not long after. Growth then stopped for a few months but longer days and warmer greenhouse temperatures have caused leaf production to resume. February 2020.Â
