i am the #1 reborn/saisei defender. first of all, the lyrics? heartbreaking. mafuyu lamenting the loss of her mother's genuine warmth (which never really existed) and blaming HERSELF for how things are now? ok what if i cried. and the melody is so hauntingly beautiful, esp the prechorus and chorus. ik y'all don't like slow songs but look past your bias for a moment this absolutely needed to be a slow song

Reborn is the only Mafuyu commissioned song that doesn’t cause me a headache. Not in a “the other songs are bad” way, but the fact they all are so sensory requiring. They are just too much

I think Akito has the best set of commissioned songs so far.
Cinema is great, moonlight is beautiful, kashika is powrful, crazy is pumped up, and tbh I need to listen to fuel more to develop a proper opinion. I love all these songs.
So far every other character has at least one song I don’t really care for much (not saying I dislike just that I don’t really care) but I have yet to find any song for Akito that I don’t care for

bake no hana and gekokujou are both nearly perfect songs. nearly perfect. the one thing i would change is id make the refrain in each of them more tense, more like theyre screaming/crying the lyrics out (in a way that sounfs good in song ofc), i think with that intensity itd translate ans and mizukis feelings perfectly
