It was difficult to function on such low levels of energon. They'd all been depleted, left with only the bare minimum they required to stay out of stasis-lock. They needed to be awake for this.
The shadow of their former Lord and leader loomed over him. Red optics seemed to pierce through him, but he could do little more than stare ahead with his own dimly lit ones. He'd never felt quite so small before.
And then, a voice rang out, "Onslaught." Even in front of only a small group, the other's words were laced with strength and power. "You shall bear witness to what becomes of those who betray me. You will watch as your comrades fall, and know that their fate, and yours, is all due to your failure to know your place." The red optics turned their gaze to look upon the others, "It truly is a pity. Which is why you shall not perish today. Perhaps in the future I'll have a use for you once again. For now, you are nothing."
And it was all his fault.
