his father is a prominent figure on bay st. and his mother used to be a famous model

because of his parents he kinda always grew up in the spotlight but it definitely got more intense after he started acting

born outside of candoris, sebastián was the first of four children in the navarette lineage. deeming the outside world too dangerous to be wolves and to start a family, his mother and father sought refuge in the kingdom of candoris when seb was only six years old. a year later, after establishing themselves as nobility thanks to his mother’s drive and passion to land the position as lady of their estate, his younger brother santiago was born. three years following the birth of santi came a baby sister, mia. the three were closer than any siblings could be, sharing a bond that could not be broken by anything. he spent his days telling his siblings of tales outside of candoris, though he his young mind probably exaggerated some details, he just liked seeing the smile from mia’s face as he told them.
when santi was just five, he fell extremely ill. their parents basically quarantined santiago from sebastián and mia not wanting their other children to contract the deadly disease. he took mia under his wing, a girl far too young to understand their brother close to death. while his parents tended to their brother, seb, twelve years old, had suddenly been responsible for his younger sister. he would play games with her and teach her how to do various things. it was a distraction from the tragic reality that their brother may never recover. this forced sebastián to grow up quickly to assume some of the responsibility for the household. if he had mia under control, then it would allow his parents to focus solely on santi.
for what felt like a lifetime, and was actually only a year, santi made a full recovery. it wasn’t as if he felt like he had to readjust to life with santi in it, because he really was grateful. it was just that he had grown so accustomed to it just being him and mia that the change took some time. the brothers had been close before he fell ill, but after it was hard to step back into the relationship that they had. seb never wanted to be overbearing to santi, knowing that his parents had tended to him day and night for a year. he wanted to cultivate a strong relationship like he and mia had, but he also never wanted to make his brother feel like he was suffocating with the attention.
while santi mostly stayed in and on his own, mia was growing quickly becoming a fierce young woman. seb and mia became thick as thieves, teaching her everything he knew about being a wolf. she was truly his other half, he would have done anything for his little sister. one night then were wandering the wood together just enjoying the night breeze with the moon shining from above. he sat her down and told her the story of why wolves had always howled at the moon. how quae carcajou once was a spirit in love with the moon, tricked out of leaving the spirit realm so he could never be with the moon again. so with a bit of magic, he was turned into a wolf and every night he goes to a high cliff to see her and to yell her name “mooooooooooon” into the universe. after the fit of giggles followed by the pair howling at the moon, seb declared that he should call her luna to always let her know that if she was lost, he could howl for her and find her way back to him. the nickname stuck, spreading to their family with her little nickname.
when seb was nineteen, another brother, mateo was born as somewhat as a surprise to everyone considering they had been in their ways for many years. he would always do his best to try and be there for his youngest brother, but he always felt some sort of disconnect from him since he was so much older. still, the siblings remained closer than anyone else, becoming their own little pack within the pack. they would often be seen together at all moments, the siblings could not be broken apart.
as they all settled into adulthood, minus mateo who was still just a pup, the need for seb seemed to fade as having the older brother protect them at all times. they were all grown up and their own person. without a job, only being the heir to their estate, it caused seb to become restless, focusing all of his attention on mateo now, getting the rut of his overbearingness since his siblings were both fiercely independent. mateo’s refusal to really allow seb to be protective only caused unrest in the wolf. he set off to do other things, perhaps maybe find someone of interest to him to work on starting a family on his own, since he loved his so much.
that plan had worked for a moment, seb for the first time in his life not feeling the pressure of being there for his siblings for every waking moment. he had even met a few people that he found a genuine interest in. that all came crumbling down when his little luna had a broken heart. after seeing his little sister in such pain from love, he swore it off, thinking that it could only ever bring trouble for him. from that moment, he would deny any feelings for himself becoming stubborn at the mere idea of imprinting. if he found his true bond, how could he ever focus on his family. protecting them was all that he had ever known, he did not want to stray far from them.
putting an immense amount of pressure on himself now by denying any sort of feelings he had for other people, he could feel him start to lose himself. once so strong and so sure of himself, every time an opportunity presented itself, he denied himself the pleasures of love from women and men. he believed he was too strong, and far too proud to let himself succumb to those feelings of love and happiness. especially when he had a family to protect.
now with candoris quite literally in war, sebastián finds himself further wrapped up in the idea that he is the sole protector of his family, despite his siblings pleas for him to stop and live his own life. he just can’t bare to see anything bad happen to them.
