the sound of rain can be heard out of the small window at the top of the cell. it's loud, thunderous, and it makes the stones even colder than they are usually. he winces, his body aching from the damage it's taken in the last month or so. it had been a foolish mistake, leaving the scrap of paper on the top of his desk. yaxley was a curious man, and percy had been shocked by the death eater's sudden appearance at the rendezvous point. "no!" he had shouted as the spells started flying -- the little girl and the mother got the portkey, good, and that was the last thing percy remembered until waking up in a holding cell in the ministry. they tortured him for information about his network, and percy tried to hold out. . .

but yaxley took dark magic to his body, cutting it like it was butter, scarring percy permanently. after he'd given them some information (not enough, holding back crucial things, saying some lies), they brought him here; he was deemed too dangerous to remain in the public light. no one even knew, or no one had told his family at least. why would they?

his face aches in particular, and he closes his eyes, leaning his shoulder against the wall. luna is humming something, her spirits much higher than his own. the bandages are bloodied, sticking to his skin, but he'd stopped caring a while ago. . . his eyes widen when there's the sound of loud commotion above, and his brows furrow as he tries to discern what's happening --

percy scoots up, wincing, as there's footsteps to the door. there's a flash of familiar red hair; of course percy recognized ron first. he sits there, blue eyes wild, and he has no idea what to say, what to even do. is he breathing? this can't be good if harry and ron were here in a cage with him. . .

“ Mum didn’t say you were visiting?” George walks into the room and sits on the sofa beside him. “How’s the job? Reckon you’re some big shot by now, eh, Perce? But I guess you missed me so much you had to stop by. Guess I won’t leave a spider in your bed then.” / @weasleyandweasley

percy sits up as george enters the room. "ah, george." he greets, voice soft. he never knows how to interact with him now. it feels like i'm sorry is always at the tip of his tongue. he finds the desperate urge to smoke, but he won't do it in the house -- he doesn't want their mother hounding him on a bad habit. it's been some time since he's been at the burrow, now that he's back at work. there's something missing in those blue eyes of his, now so dull in expression, as he carries the weight of his sins right there in his chest. "minister shacklebolt has been quite kind, all things considered. don't fret, i am still a lowly junior assistant." it's something the twins would have made fun of once. percy doesn't mind taking fred's place in his own belittlement.

he is gentle at touching george's shoulder when he sits, rubbing it in greeting, in a way percy thinks is brotherly. "i did miss you, very much, as a matter of fact." he admits quietly, smile tight and weak before it disappears. his nose wrinkles at the mention of a spider, but he nods in appreciation. "thank you for the kindness, george." he looks him over quietly, eyes lingering on the missing ear for a beat too long. the guilt could eat them both alive. at least, at least george doesn't have to know about his own scars. "and how are you?" he's more concerned about george's well-being than most of his other family. he definitely cares about george than he would ever care about himself, especially now.

He hesitates a moment before walking over to Percy. “Oi, Percy, for a moment?” His hands go into his pajama bottom pockets. “What do you make of Cedric? Dad seems to like em. Reckon mum will?” Fred asks without giving much reason. / @weasleyandweasley

percy glances up, horn-rimmed glasses askew on youthful features. he blinks a few times -- fred is coming to him? about cedric, of all things? percy is not quite used to getting along with his younger siblings, even during the quiet moments like this. he shifts in his chair to give fred his full attention.

"well, why wouldn't she?" he asks, tilting his head curiously. "cedric is a good lad. one of the best of us here," he always thought highly of him; he intends to nominate him for head boy when he leaves. "mother will love him; she loves everyone." or, well, she tries to.

sometimes, it's hard to wrap his head around cedric and fred's romance, but it's none of his business. not with his own secrets. (if ginny outs his situationship with oliver wood, too, he's going to kill her.) but as long as fred is happy, why should percy disapprove? perhaps this is the first time percy does openly approve of something regarding a twin.

Applying the magic balm to his face. ❛ Once we’ve cleaned this up, I have some blood-replenishing potion for you, okay?  and I won’t take no for an answer. ❜

     just the name, she says, but percy’s beginning to spots in his vision.  he feels sick and nauseated, sweat coating his clammy skin.  there is a chance he may not see tomorrow ( and would it not be deserved? )  “s--sorry,”  he breathes out inside, bloody hand moving away from his side to grasp her shoulder.  “sorry.  d--don’t know.”  each word is harder to get out, each breath more labored.  percy’s guided to the floor by alicia’s father to be able to take care of him more easily.  he watches alicia with frantic eyes, but he knows she has to touch his face to heal him.  the junior assistant exhales as the balm touches his face.  it soothes him, mollifies him enough to lie still, even as if feels like the life still continues to drain from him.  “w--won’t say no,”  he manage out with a weak chuckle before wincing.

*:・ﾟ✧ Since the beginning of the tournament they had taken the opportunity to acquire bets from their fellow peers. After all, they were still salty enough about losing their winnings before to idiocy. He assumed Fred and him would continue this during the second trial, however, something was amiss when he awoke. Fred was missing from his four poster. Not unusual, no, but he, at least, expected Fred to wake him up if he was up first. Maybe he had gone to wish Cedric a bit of luck, since they had been talking a bit more, but why not leave a note then? Now of this was alarming until he found Harry and asked where Ron was, only to be told he had no bloody clue. Fred and Ron were missing? Should he be worried? Too late to wonder, since he felt a bit of anxiety dwelling. When the opportunity was presented, he sought out Percy. He knew he was here, so maybe he knew something. Maybe he had even just spotted Fred.

❝ Perce? Have you seen Fred or Ron around? Not exactly having any luck finding them. A bit of hide and seek isn’t like them. ❞

             mister crouch had fallen ill, and percy was asked to step in his place.  he loved having so much power as young as he is;  it’s everything he’s dreamed about while in school.  as a matter of fact, one could find him in the halls, reminiscing about being a student here only a few months ago.  ( perhaps longer, how time flies. )  thankfully, there are no peeves sightings yet.  he is on his way to go to the judging area for the next trial when he hears footsteps coming his way.  he doesn’t expect a somewhat off george coming toward it.  where was fred?  his head tilts.  “yes, george?”  has he seen fred or ron?  no, he hasn’t not since the day before when he arrived at hogwarts.  “no. . . i saw them last night before retiring to bed.”  his brows furrow.  “that doesn’t sound like them at all.”  poor percy has no idea that fred and ron have been chosen as the bait for cedric and harry’s trial respectively.  “where have you checked?”  there’s nervousness in his eyes.  this isn’t the first time he’s lost his siblings in hogwarts, and he is suddenly reminded of when ginny had been taken into the chamber of secrets. . . oh, no.  had he failed his siblings again?

Her mother had been taken away, and she hadn’t been able to stop it.  They were listening to Potterwatch when the bang on the door came. Alicia quickly turned off the radio and rushed to the door, looking through the peak hole she shouted that it was safe, before opening the door and looking over at a bleeding Percy in front of her. Immediately her healer training taking over. Checking him over with her eyes before identifying where the bleeding might be coming from.  ❛ Tad! get the emergency potions and bandages.. Percy, what the hell happened? C-can you walk. Follow me into the living room. ❜

                percy looks at her behind cracked glasses, blue eyes fulled with pain.  he inhales sharply a few times, moving the hand away from his face to show her where most of the blood is coming from.  his legs tremble.  “i  --  i will try,”  he sputters, stumbling forward.  he hits into the doorframe before trying to make his way into her living area.  percy puts a hand over his side.  everything hurts, especially where it feels like his skin is splitting his body open.  he drops down onto his knee, breathing harshly, head light.  “it  --  d-danger,”  he manages.  he can’t quite speak in this state.

        percy has ron’s face in his hands;  he is submerged up to his chest in water, checking his baby brother for any wounds.  he breathes sharply, panic evident on his features.  after ron reassures him a third time that he’s fine, percy turns toward fred. quickly, the oldest weasley has his younger brother by the shoulders, looking him over.  “fred -- fred, talk to me.  are you all right?”  he looks frantic,  nervous at the idea that two of his siblings and a close family friend ( hermione ) were in danger for the triwizard tournament.  he imagines cedric is looking at him with confusion, but percy didn’t know.  he had no idea.  he hates even the concept of anyone being used as bait, but he supposes that’s what the tournament is testing.
